Morte
Cristo venceu a morte
"Where, O Death, is your sting?
Where, O Hades, is your victory?"
The stinger of death is sin, and the adjunct of sin is the law.
Now thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!
The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.
For since death came through a man, resurrection of the dead also came through a man.
For as all in Adam are dying, so also all in the Christ will be made alive.
A esperança da vida eterna
Jesus disse: 'Eu sou a ressurreição e a vida.'
Jesus said to her: "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes into me, though he may die, will live; and everyone who both lives and believes into me will never ever die. Do you believe this?"
Jesus said to her: "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes into me, though he may die, will live; and everyone who both lives and believes into me will never ever die. Do you believe this?"
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. And I give them eternal life, and they will never ever be wasted; and no one will snatch them out of my hand.
Because God loved the world so much that He gave His only begotten Son, so that everyone who believes into Him should not be wasted, but should have eternal life.
And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear the One who is able to destroy both soul and body in Hell.
For whoever desires to save his life will waste it, but whoever ‘wastes’ his life on my account will find it. your life represents.
—to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
I am torn between the two: I have the desire to depart and be with Christ (far better), but to remain in the flesh is more necessary, because of you.
But our citizenship is in Heaven, and it is from there that we eagerly await our Deliverer, Sovereign Jesus Christ; who will transform the body of our humiliation so that it will be conformed to the body of His glory, according to the working by which He is indeed able to subject all things to Himself.
A eternidade nos aguarda
Deus enxugará toda lágrima. A morte será o último inimigo destruído.
Then, after giving a loud shout, Jesus said, "Father, it is into your hands that I will commit my spirit." And having said this, He breathed out His spirit.
And in Hades he looked up and saw Abraham at a distance, and Lazarus very close to him. And being in torment, he called out, saying, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; because I am tormented by this flame!’
