Morte
A morte é a realidade que todos enfrentam, mas para o cristão ela não é o fim. A Bíblia ensina que Cristo venceu a morte e nos dá a esperança da ressurreição e da vida eterna.
Cristo venceu a morte
Onde está, ó morte, o teu aguilhão? Cristo destruiu o poder da morte e nos deu a vitória pela ressurreição.
Death—where’s your victory? Death—where’s your sting?" The sting that causes death is sin; and the power of sin is the law; but praise God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.

For God loved the world, and this is how: he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who trusts in him shouldn’t die, but have eternal life.
We don’t want you to be confused about what happens when people die, brothers and sisters, so that you won’t grieve like others who don’t have any hope. Since we’re convinced that Jesus died and rose again, we’re also sure that God will bring with Jesus those who have died trusting in him.
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the cry of the archangel, and with the sound of God’s trumpet, and those who have died in Christ will rise first. Then those of us who are alive and still here will be carried up together with them into the clouds, and we shall meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever!
Não temas a morte
Não temas os que matam o corpo. Para o cristão, viver é Cristo e morrer é lucro. O vale da sombra da morte não assusta quem caminha com o Pastor.

A eternidade nos aguarda
Deus enxugará toda lágrima. A morte será o último inimigo destruído. Para os salvos, a morte é a porta de entrada na presença eterna de Deus.

Just as human beings die only once, and then are judged,
I’m absolutely convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor devils, neither the present nor the future, nor powers, neither height nor depth, in fact nothing in all creation can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Who would die for anybody else, even someone who does what’s right? (Though perhaps somebody would be brave enough to die for someone really good.) But God demonstrates his love for us in that Christ died for us while we were still sinners.
As a result of one man’s sin, death ruled because of him. But God’s grace is so much greater and his gift sets us right, for everyone who receives it will rule in life through the person of Jesus Christ!
The wage sin pays is death, but God’s free gift is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

Such desires lead to sin, and sin, when it’s fully developed, causes death.
