A mudança é constante na vida, mas Deus é imutável. A Bíblia nos ensina a abraçar a transformação espiritual enquanto confiamos no Deus que é o mesmo ontem, hoje e sempre.
Deus é imutável
Jesus Cristo é o mesmo ontem, hoje e para sempre. Deus não muda — Ele é a rocha firme em meio às mudanças constantes da vida.
Jesus Christ never changes! He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Descendants of Jacob, I am the Lord All-Powerful, and I never change. That’s why you haven’t been wiped out,
Every good and perfect gift comes down from the Father who created all the lights in the heavens. He is always the same and never makes dark shadows by changing.
The sky and the earth will not last forever, but my words will.
Transformação em Cristo
Se alguém está em Cristo, é nova criação. Somos transformados de glória em glória à imagem do Senhor pelo poder do Espírito.
Anyone who belongs to Christ is a new person. The past is forgotten, and everything is new.
So our faces are not covered. They show the bright glory of the Lord, as the Lord’s Spirit makes us more and more like our glorious Lord.
Don’t be like the people of this world, but let God change the way you think. Then you will know how to do everything that is good and pleasing to him.
My dear friends, we are already God’s children, though what we will be hasn’t yet been seen. But we do know when Christ returns, we will be like him, because we will see him as he truly is.
has power over everything, and he will make these poor bodies of ours like his own glorious body.
I will explain a mystery to you. Not every one of us will die, but we will all be changed. It will happen suddenly, quicker than the blink of an eye. At the sound of the last trumpet the dead will be raised. We will all be changed, so we will never die again.
Arrependimento como mudança
Arrependei-vos, pois, e convertei-vos. O arrependimento é a mudança mais radical — da morte para a vida, do pecado para a graça.
Do something to show you have really given up your sins.
Not at all! But you can be sure that if you don’t turn back to God, every one of you will also be killed.
So turn to God! Give up your sins, and you will be forgiven.
Tempos e ciclos
Para tudo há uma estação e um tempo para cada propósito debaixo do céu. Deus faz novas todas as coisas no tempo certo.
Everything on earth
has its own time
and its own season.
People come, and people go,
but still the world
never changes.
The sun comes up,
the sun goes down;
it hurries right back
to where it started from.
The wind blows south,
the wind blows north;
round and round it blows
over and over again.
All rivers empty into the sea,
but it never spills over;
one by one the rivers return
to their source.
Everything that happens
has happened before;
nothing is new,
nothing under the sun.
Someone might say,
"Here is something new!"
But it happened before,
long before we were born.
I am creating something new.
There it is! Do you see it?
I have put roads in deserts,
streams in thirsty lands.
But first you must realize that in the last days some people won’t think about anything except their own selfish desires. They will make fun of you and say, "Didn’t your Lord promise to come back? Yet the first leaders have already died, and the world hasn’t changed a bit."
They will say this because they want to forget that long ago the heavens and the earth were made at God’s command. The earth came out of water and was made from water. Later it was destroyed by the waters of a mighty flood. But God has commanded the present heavens and earth to remain until the day of judgment. Then they will be set on fire, and ungodly people will be destroyed.
