A mulher sábia
Homes are made by the wisdom of women, but are destroyed by foolishness.
To be wise you must first have reverence for the Lord. If you know the Holy One, you have understanding.
Reverence for the Lord is an education in itself. You must be humble before you can ever receive honors.
But if any of you lack wisdom, you should pray to God, who will give it to you; because God gives generously and graciously to all.
Go to the Lord for help,
and worship him continually.
Virtude e excelência
A mulher virtuosa é coroada de força e dignidade. Ela abre a boca com sabedoria e a instrução da bondade está na sua língua.
The Capable Wife
How hard it is to find a capable wife! She is worth far more than jewels!
She is strong and respected and not afraid of the future.
She speaks with a gentle wisdom.
Her children show their appreciation, and her husband praises her.
He says, "Many women are good wives, but you are the best of them all."
Charm is deceptive and beauty disappears, but a woman who honors the Lord should be praised.
A good wife is her husband’s pride and joy; but a wife who brings shame on her husband is like a cancer in his bones.
A gracious woman is respected, but a woman without virtue is a disgrace.
Lazy people will never have money, but aggressive people will get rich.
A man can inherit a house and money from his parents, but only the Lord can give him a sensible wife.
Exemplo e influência
A mulher sábia é exemplo de fé e bom testemunho. Suas atitudes inspiram e seu legado abençoa as gerações que virão.
In the same way instruct the older women to behave as women should who live a holy life. They must not be slanderers or slaves to wine. They must teach what is good, in order to train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, and to be good housewives who submit themselves to their husbands, so that no one will speak evil of the message that comes from God.
Their wives also must be of good character and must not gossip; they must be sober and honest in everything.
The Parable of the Ten Young Women
"At that time the Kingdom of heaven will be like this. Once there were ten young women who took their oil lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish, and the other five were wise. The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any extra oil with them, while the wise ones took containers full of oil for their lamps. The bridegroom was late in coming, so they began to nod and fall asleep.
"It was already midnight when the cry rang out, ‘Here is the bridegroom! Come and meet him!’ The ten young women woke up and trimmed their lamps. Then the foolish ones said to the wise ones, ‘Let us have some of your oil, because our lamps are going out.’ ‘No, indeed,’ the wise ones answered, ‘there is not enough for you and for us. Go to the store and buy some for yourselves.’ So the foolish ones went off to buy some oil; and while they were gone, the bridegroom arrived. The five who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast, and the door was closed.
"Later the others arrived. ‘Sir, sir! Let us in!’ they cried out. ‘Certainly not! I don’t know you,’ the bridegroom answered."
And Jesus concluded, "Watch out, then, because you do not know the day or the hour.
