A mulher sábia
Every wise woman builds her house, but the foolish plucks it down with her hands.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom, and before honour is humility.
And if any of you lacks wisdom, let them ask of God (who gives abundantly to all, and without reproach), and it shall be given them.
Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually.
Virtude e excelência
A mulher virtuosa é coroada de força e dignidade. Ela abre a boca com sabedoria e a instrução da bondade está na sua língua.
Who can find a valiant woman? for her price is far above precious stones.
Beth
Strength and glory is her clothing, and she shall laugh in the last day.
Pe
She opened her mouth with wisdom, and the law of mercy is upon her tongue.
Tzaddi
Her sons rose up and called her blessed; her husband also, and he praised her.
Resh
Many daughters have done valiantly, but thou dost excel them all.
Schin
Grace is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but the woman that fears the Lord shall be praised.
Tau
The virtuous woman is a crown to her husband, but she that makes ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.
The gracious woman retains honour, and strong men retain riches.
House and riches are the inheritance from fathers, but the prudent wife is from the Lord.
Exemplo e influência
A mulher sábia é exemplo de fé e bom testemunho. Suas atitudes inspiram e seu legado abençoa as gerações que virão.
The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becomes holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of honesty;
that they may teach the young women to be prudent, to love their husbands, to love their children,
to be temperate, chaste, good housekeepers, subject to their own husbands, that the word of God not be blasphemed.
The wives likewise are to be honest, not slanderers, temperate, faithful in all things.
Then shall the kingdom of the heavens be likened unto ten virgins who, taking their lamps, went forth to meet the bridegroom.
And five of them were prudent, and five were foolish.
Those that were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them;
but the prudent took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go ye out to meet him.
Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps.
And the foolish said unto the prudent, Give us of your oil, for our lamps are going out.
But the prudent answered, saying, Lest there be not enough for us and you, but go ye rather to them that sell and buy for yourselves.
And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and those that were ready went in with him to the marriage, and the door was shut.
Afterward the other virgins also came, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
Watch, therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man comes.
