A mulher sábia edifica sua casa. O temor do Senhor é o princípio da sabedoria e a instrução que conduz à honra.
Every wise woman has built her house, || And the foolish breaks it down with her hands.
The commencement of wisdom [is] the fear of YHWH, || And a knowledge of the Holy Ones [is] understanding.
The fear of YHWH [is] the instruction of wisdom, || And humility [is] before honor!
And if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask from God, who is giving to all generously, and not reproaching, and it will be given to him;
Seek YHWH and His strength, || Seek His face continually.
Virtude e excelência
A mulher virtuosa é coroada de força e dignidade. Ela abre a boca com sabedoria e a instrução da bondade está na sua língua.
[ALEPH-BET] A woman of worth who finds? Indeed, her price [is] far above rubies.
Strength and honor [are] her clothing, || And she rejoices at a latter day. She has opened her mouth in wisdom, || And the law of kindness [is] on her tongue.
Her sons have risen up, and pronounce her blessed, || Her husband, and he praises her, "The daughters who have done worthily [are] many, || You have gone up above them all."
Favor [is] deceitful, and beauty [is] vain, || A woman fearing YHWH, she may boast herself.
A virtuous woman [is] a crown to her husband, || And as rottenness in his bones [is] one causing shame.
A gracious woman retains honor, || And terrible [men] retain riches.
House and wealth [are] the inheritance of fathers, || And an understanding wife [is] from YHWH.
Exemplo e influência
A mulher sábia é exemplo de fé e bom testemunho. Suas atitudes inspiram e seu legado abençoa as gerações que virão.
Aged women, in like manner, in behavior as becomes sacred persons, not false accusers, not enslaved to much wine, teachers of good things, that they may make the young women sober-minded, to be lovers of [their] husbands, lovers of [their] children, sober, pure, keepers of [their own] houses, good, subject to their own husbands, that evil may not be spoken of the word of God.
Women, in like manner, dignified, not false accusers, vigilant, faithful in all things.
"Then will the kingdom of the heavens be likened to ten virgins, who, having taken their lamps, went forth to meet the bridegroom; and five of them were prudent, and five foolish; they who were foolish having taken their lamps, did not take with themselves oil; and the prudent took oil in their vessels, with their lamps. And the bridegroom lingering, they all nodded and were sleeping, and in the middle of the night a cry was made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go forth to meet him! Then all those virgins rose, and trimmed their lamps, and the foolish said to the prudent, Give us of your oil, because our lamps are going out; and the prudent answered, saying, Lest there may not be sufficient for us and you, go rather to those selling, and buy for yourselves. And while they are going away to buy, the bridegroom came, and those ready went in with him to the wedding feasts, and the door was shut; and afterward come also the rest of the virgins, saying, Lord, lord, open to us; and he answering said, Truly I say to you, I have not known you. Watch therefore, for you have not known the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man comes.
