An excellent wife is the crown of her husband,

House and wealth are an inheritance from fathers,

O caráter e o temor a Deus acima da aparência
A Bíblia não condena a beleza externa, mas adverte que o encanto físico é passageiro e não substitui a firmeza de espírito. A base verdadeira da dignidade e do valor de uma mulher está na sua relação com o Senhor.
Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain,
But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.(Proverbs 31:30)
O Novo Testamento reforça essa mesma perspectiva: a verdadeira honra se manifesta nas boas obras, na maturidade da fé e na integridade do caráter, que deixam marcas duradouras na família e na comunidade.
Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or expensive apparel, but rather by means of good works, as is proper for women making a claim to godliness.(1 Timothy 2:9,10)
Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored.(Titus 2:3-5)
