A mulher virtuosa

Por Bíblia Online –

A mulher virtuosa de Provérbios 31 é um retrato de excelência. Seu valor excede o de rubis — ela é sábia, trabalhadora, generosa e teme ao Senhor acima de tudo.

Uma joia rara

Mulher virtuosa, quem a achará? Seu valor excede o de rubis. Ela é o coração da família e a força do lar.

10 A good wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels.11 The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will have no lack of gain.12 She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life.13 She seeks wool and flax, and works with willing hands.14 She is like the ships of the merchant, she brings her food from afar.15 She rises while it is yet night and provides food for her household and tasks for her maidens.16 She considers a field and buys it; with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard.17 She girds her loins with strength and makes her arms strong.18 She perceives that her merchandise is profitable. Her lamp does not go out at night.19 She puts her hands to the distaff, and her hands hold the spindle.20 She opens her hand to the poor, and reaches out her hands to the needy.

4 A good wife is the crown of her husband, but she who brings shame is like rottenness in his bones.

11 And now, my daughter, do not fear, I will do for you all that you ask, for all my fellow townsmen know that you are a woman of worth.

Caráter acima da aparência

Enganosa é a graça e vã é a formosura, mas a mulher que teme ao Senhor será louvada. A verdadeira beleza é interior.

30 Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.

9 also that women should adorn themselves modestly and sensibly in seemly apparel, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly attire10 but by good deeds, as befits women who profess religion.

1 Wisdom builds her house, but folly with her own hands tears it down.

14 House and wealth are inherited from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the LORD.

3 Bid the older women likewise to be reverent in behavior, not to be slanderers or slaves to drink; they are to teach what is good,4 and so train the young women to love their husbands and children,5 to be sensible, chaste, domestic, kind, and submissive to their husbands, that the word of God may not be discredited.
