Mulher
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place;22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, he made a woman, and brought her to the man. made: Heb. builded23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Virtude e caráter
A beleza é vã e a formosura passageira, mas a mulher que teme ao Senhor é digna de louvor. Seu caráter é seu maior tesouro.
30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
1 Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.
4 A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.
16 A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong men retain riches.
14 House and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the LORD.
19 It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman. in…: Heb. in the land of the desert
11 And now, my daughter, fear not; I will do to thee all that thou requirest: for all the city of my people doth know that thou art a virtuous woman. city: Heb. gate
Sabedoria e serviço
As mulheres da Bíblia foram líderes, profetisas e discípulas fiéis. Jesus honrou as mulheres e as incluiu em seu ministério.
1 And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and showing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him,2 And certain women, who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven demons,3 And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others, who ministered to him of their substance.
1 Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the behaviour of the wives;
7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
11 Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober minded, faithful in all things.
3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; holiness: or, holy womenfalse…: or, one who foments strife4 That they may teach the young women to be sober minded, to love their husbands, to love their children, sober: or, wise5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
