A direção da caminhada: com quem você divide a vida
Namoro cristão não é passatempo; é tempo de avaliar alinhamento de valores e maturidade espiritual. A Bíblia adverte sobre a importância de guardar as emoções e escolher andar ao lado de quem caminha na mesma direção em Deus.
Watch over your heart with all diligence,
For from it flow the springs of life.(Proverbs 4:23)

Pureza e limites antes do casamento
O cuidado com o próprio corpo e com o outro preserva a intimidade para a aliança matrimonial. Fugir da imoralidade sexual não é mero conjunto de proibições, mas a decisão consciente de honrar a Deus e não queimar etapas antes do tempo.
Flee sexual immorality. Every other sin that a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought for a price: therefore glorify God in your body.(1 Corinthians 6:18-20)
Food is for the stomach and the stomach is for food, however God will do away with both of them. But the body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord is for the body.(1 Corinthians 6:13)
But if they do not have self-control, let them marry; for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.(1 Corinthians 7:9)

O namoro ganha sentido pleno quando aponta para o matrimônio. A convivência serve para cultivar o companheirismo, exercitar o perdão mútuo e buscar a bênção de Deus para sustentar o futuro lar.
