28 Have you not known? Have you not heard?

The Lord is *the everlasting God,

the Creator of the ends of the earth.

He does not faint or grow weary;

*his understanding is unsearchable.

29 He gives power to the faint,

and to him who has no might he increases strength.

30 Even youths shall faint and be weary,

and young men shall fall exhausted;

31 but *they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength;

they shall mount up with wings *like eagles;

they shall run and not be weary;

they shall walk and not faint.

19 For a people shall dwell *in Zion, in Jerusalem; you shall weep no more. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry. As soon as he hears it, he answers you.

Israel’s Only Savior

1 But now thus says the Lord,

*he who created you, O Jacob,

he who formed you, O Israel:

*"Fear not, for I have redeemed you;

*I have called you by name, you are mine.

2 *When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;

and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;

*when you walk through fire *you shall not be burned,

and the flame shall not consume you.

3 For *I am the Lord your God,

the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.

*I give Egypt as your ransom,

Cush and *Seba in exchange for you.

12 I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and *hunger, abundance and *need. 13 I can do all things *through him who strengthens me.

16 So we do not lose heart. *Though our outer self* is wasting away, *our inner self *is being renewed day by day. 17 For *this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, 18 *as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

35 Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has *a great reward.

23 *Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for *he who promised is faithful. 24 And *let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 *not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and *all the more as you see *the Day drawing near.

6 And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God *must believe that he exists and *that he rewards those who seek him.

12 For *the word of God is living and *active, *sharper than any *two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and *discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

9 And *let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, *if we do not give up.

11 *I am coming soon. *Hold fast what you have, so that no one may seize *your crown.

12 *Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who *keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.*

12 *Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive *the crown of life, *which God has promised to those who love him.

God Is Our Fortress

1 God is our *refuge and strength,

a very *present* help in *trouble.

22 *Cast your burden on the Lord,

and he will sustain you;

*he will never permit

the righteous to be moved.

9 The Lord is *a stronghold for *the oppressed,

a stronghold in *times of trouble.

10 And those who *know your name put their trust in you,

for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.

5 *Those who sow in tears

shall reap with shouts of joy!

6 He who goes out weeping,

bearing the seed for sowing,

shall come home with shouts of joy,

bringing his sheaves with him.

24 *Be strong, and let your heart take courage,

all you who wait for the Lord!

105 *Your word is a lamp to my feet

and a light to my path.

18 The Lord is *near to all who call on him,

to all who call on him *in truth.

19 He *fulfills the desire of those who fear him;

he also *hears their cry and saves them.

33 I have said these things to you, that *in me you may have peace. *In the world you will have *tribulation. But *take heart; *I have overcome the world."

66 *After this many of his disciples turned back and no longer walked with him. 67 So Jesus said to *the twelve, "Do you want to go away as well?"68 Simon Peter answered him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have *the words of eternal life, 69 and *we have believed, and have come to know, that *you are *the Holy One of God."

18 "I will not leave you as orphans; *I will come to you.

Ask, and It Will Be Given

7 *"Ask, *and it will be given to you; *seek, and you will find; *knock, and it will be opened to you.8 For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.

28 *Come to *me, all who labor and are *heavy laden, and I will give you rest.29 Take my yoke upon you, and *learn from me, for I am *gentle and lowly in heart, and *you will find rest for your souls.30 For *my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

26 But Jesus *looked at them and said, *"With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

37 For *nothing will be impossible with God."

6 And I am sure of this, that he who began *a good work in you *will bring it to completion at *the day of Jesus Christ.

17 Therefore, if anyone is *in Christ, he is *a new creation.**The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

The New Heaven and the New Earth

1 Then I saw *a new heaven and a new earth, for *the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. 2 And I saw *the holy city, *new Jerusalem, *coming down out of heaven from God, *prepared *as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, *the dwelling place* of God is with man. He will *dwell with them, and they will be his people,* and God himself will be with them as their God.*4 *He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and *death shall be no more, *neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away."

7 *The Lord is good,

*a stronghold in the day of trouble;

*he knows those who take refuge in him.

11 *For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare* and not for evil, *to give you a future and a hope.

7 *But you, take courage! Do not let your hands be weak, *for your work shall be rewarded."

19 Beloved, *never avenge yourselves, but leave it* to the wrath of God, for it is written, *"Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord."

17 So *faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together *for good,* for *those who are called according to his purpose.

16 *All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that *the man of God* may be complete, *equipped *for every good work.

13 *Follow *the pattern of *the sound* words *that you have heard from me, in *the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. 14 By the Holy Spirit *who dwells within us, guard *the good deposit entrusted to you.

16 Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, *who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good *hope through grace, 17 comfort your hearts and *establish them in every good work and word.

9 *If we confess our sins, he is *faithful and just to forgive us our sins and *to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

14 And this is *the confidence that we have toward him, that *if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.

7 *Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, *endures all things.
