O nascimento é obra das mãos de Deus. Cada criança é formada por Ele no ventre materno com propósito e amor. A Bíblia celebra a vida desde a concepção até a eternidade.
O nascimento de Jesus
O maior nascimento da história mudou o curso da humanidade. Jesus nasceu de uma virgem pelo poder do Espírito Santo, conforme as profecias.
This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah happened. His mother, Mary, was engaged to Joseph, but before they slept together she became pregnant by the Holy Spirit. Joseph, her fiancé, was a good man and didn’t want to shame her publicly, so he decided to break the engagement discreetly.
While he was thinking about all of this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and told him, "Joseph, son of David, don’t be afraid to marry Mary because she is pregnant by the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son and you shall call him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins."
(Now this all happened to fulfill what the Lord said through the prophet: "A virgin will become pregnant, and will give birth to a son. They will call him Immanuel," which means "God with us.") Joseph woke up and did what the angel of the Lord told him to do. Joseph married Mary, but did not sleep with her until after she had given birth to a son, whom he named Jesus.
This is why the Lord himself is going to give you a sign. Look! The virgin will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and she will call him Immanuel.
In the sixth month of her pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to a young girl called Mary who lived in the town of Nazareth in Galilee. She was engaged to a man named Joseph.
"Don’t worry, Mary," the angel went on, "for God has shown his graciousness to you. You will become pregnant and give birth to a son. You shall call him Jesus. He will be very great, and he will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of David his father, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever. His kingdom will never come to an end."
"How is this possible?" Mary asked. "I’m still a virgin."
He replied, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will cover you. The baby who is to be born is holy, and will be called the Son of God.
Formados desde o ventre
Deus nos teceu no ventre de nossa mãe. Antes de nascermos, Ele já nos conhecia e nos separou para um propósito sagrado.
You made me from the inside out, shaping me in my mother’s womb.
I praise you for making me in such an awesome and wonderful way. What you do is incredible—I realize this completely!
My growing body was not hidden from you as I was formed in secret, as I was intricately put together "in the depths of the earth."
You saw me as an embryo, and in your book all my days were written down—the days that were made for me before any of them existed.
"I knew exactly who you would be before I created you in your mother’s womb; I chose you before you were born to be a prophet to the nations."
However, you brought me safely through birth, and led me to trust in you at my mother’s breasts.
I was entrusted to you from birth; from the time I was born you have been my God.
I have depended on you since birth; you have taken care of me from my mother’s womb. That’s why I’m always praising you!
Really? Can a mother forget her nursing baby? Can she forget to be kind to the child she carried in her womb? Even if she could forget, I will never forget you!
Would I bring a baby to the point of birth and then not deliver it? the Lord asks. Would I who deliver the baby stop it from being born? the Lord asks again.
Crianças — bênção e promessa
Jesus acolheu as crianças e disse: delas é o Reino dos céus. Os filhos são herança do Senhor e motivo de alegria para os pais.
But Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me. Don’t stop them. The kingdom of heaven belongs to those who are like them!"
"But whoever humbles themselves and becomes like this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Whoever accepts a little child like this in my name accepts me.
He hugged the children, placed his hands on them, and blessed them.
Children certainly are a gift from the Lord, for a family is a blessing.
I prayed for this boy, and since the Lord has given me what I asked him for,
You’ve made me so happy, Lord, because of all you’ve done for me! I sing for joy at what you’ve done!
Nascer de novo
Jesus ensinou que é preciso nascer de novo para ver o Reino de Deus. O novo nascimento é espiritual — pelo Espírito e pela Palavra.
"I tell you the truth," Jesus replied, "Unless you are reborn, you can’t experience God’s kingdom."
A woman in labor suffers pain because her time has come, but once the baby is born, she forgets the agony because of the joy that a child has been brought into the world.
All those who are born of God don’t keep on sinning, for God’s nature lives in them. They can’t keep on sinning because they are born of God.
Sing to him, sing his praises; tell everyone the great things he’s done!
