O que a Bíblia ensina sobre o nascimento

Na Bíblia, o nascimento não é fruto do acaso: é um ato criador de Deus, que planeja e sustenta cada vida desde o ventre materno. As Escrituras tratam a chegada de uma criança como dádiva divina e apontam para dois outros nascimentos centrais na fé: a encarnação histórica de Jesus e o novo nascimento espiritual de quem crê.

Formados por Deus no ventre materno

A gestação é descrita no Antigo Testamento como uma obra cuidadosa das mãos do Criador. Os textos bíblicos mostram que Deus não espera o parto para conhecer o ser humano — Ele se relaciona com a pessoa e estabelece o seu propósito antes mesmo do nascimento.

13 You made me from the inside out, shaping me in my mother’s womb.

14 I praise you for making me in such an awesome and wonderful way. What you do is incredible—I realize this completely!

15 My growing body was not hidden from you as I was formed in secret, as I was intricately put together "in the depths of the earth."

16 You saw me as an embryo, and in your book all my days were written down—the days that were made for me before any of them existed.(Psalms 139:13-16)

5 "I knew exactly who you would be before I created you in your mother’s womb; I chose you before you were born to be a prophet to the nations."(Jeremiah 1:5)

9 However, you brought me safely through birth, and led me to trust in you at my mother’s breasts.(Psalms 22:9)

10 I was entrusted to you from birth; from the time I was born you have been my God.(Psalms 22:10)

6 I have depended on you since birth; you have taken care of me from my mother’s womb. That’s why I’m always praising you!(Psalms 71:6)

15 Really? Can a mother forget her nursing baby? Can she forget to be kind to the child she carried in her womb? Even if she could forget, I will never forget you!(Isaiah 49:15)

9 Would I bring a baby to the point of birth and then not deliver it? the Lord asks. Would I who deliver the baby stop it from being born? the Lord asks again.(Isaiah 66:9)

O nascimento de Jesus e o cumprimento da promessa

O nascimento de Jesus em Belém marca a entrada do próprio Deus na história humana. Os Evangelhos destacam a concepção virginal operada pelo Espírito Santo como o cumprimento direto das profecias messiânicas anunciadas séculos antes pelos profetas.

14 This is why the Lord himself is going to give you a sign. Look! The virgin will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and she will call him Immanuel.(Isaiah 7:14)

26 In the sixth month of her pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to a young girl called Mary who lived in the town of Nazareth in Galilee. 27 She was engaged to a man named Joseph.(Luke 1:26,27)

30 "Don’t worry, Mary," the angel went on, "for God has shown his graciousness to you. 31 You will become pregnant and give birth to a son. You shall call him Jesus. 32 He will be very great, and he will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of David his father, 33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever. His kingdom will never come to an end."(Luke 1:30-33)

34 "How is this possible?" Mary asked. "I’m still a virgin."

35 He replied, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will cover you. The baby who is to be born is holy, and will be called the Son of God.(Luke 1:34,35)

18 This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah happened. His mother, Mary, was engaged to Joseph, but before they slept together she became pregnant by the Holy Spirit. 19 Joseph, her fiancé, was a good man and didn’t want to shame her publicly, so he decided to break the engagement discreetly.

20 While he was thinking about all of this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and told him, "Joseph, son of David, don’t be afraid to marry Mary because she is pregnant by the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a son and you shall call him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins."(Matthew 1:18-21)

22 (Now this all happened to fulfill what the Lord said through the prophet: 23 "A virgin will become pregnant, and will give birth to a son. They will call him Immanuel," which means "God with us.") 24 Joseph woke up and did what the angel of the Lord told him to do. 25 Joseph married Mary, but did not sleep with her until after she had given birth to a son, whom he named Jesus.(Matthew 1:22-25)

Filhos e crianças como dádiva divina

A Bíblia celebra o nascimento de uma criança como herança do Senhor e consolo para os pais. Jesus reafirmou o valor dos pequenos ao colocá-los como exemplo de fé e dependência para quem deseja entrar no Reino de Deus.

3 Children certainly are a gift from the Lord, for a family is a blessing.(Psalms 127:3)

27 I prayed for this boy, and since the Lord has given me what I asked him for,(1 Samuel 1:27)

21 A woman in labor suffers pain because her time has come, but once the baby is born, she forgets the agony because of the joy that a child has been brought into the world.(John 16:21)

4 "But whoever humbles themselves and becomes like this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5 Whoever accepts a little child like this in my name accepts me.(Matthew 18:4,5)

14 But Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me. Don’t stop them. The kingdom of heaven belongs to those who are like them!"(Matthew 19:14)

16 He hugged the children, placed his hands on them, and blessed them.(Mark 10:16)

O novo nascimento espiritual

Além do nascimento biológico, o Novo Testamento fala de um segundo nascimento. Em conversa com o fariseu Nicodemos, Jesus ensinou que, assim como ninguém controla o próprio parto natural, a vida com Deus exige uma regeneração operada pelo Espírito Santo.

3 "I tell you the truth," Jesus replied, "Unless you are reborn, you can’t experience God’s kingdom."(John 3:3)

9 All those who are born of God don’t keep on sinning, for God’s nature lives in them. They can’t keep on sinning because they are born of God.(1 John 3:9)
