O nascimento do Salvador
O anjo anunciou: hoje vos nasceu um Salvador, que é Cristo, o Senhor! A virgem concebeu pelo Espírito Santo e deu à luz o Filho de Deus.
10 but the angel said to them, "Have no fear! Indeed, I am bringing you good news of a great joy which is to be for all the people;
11 for there was born for you to-day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ and Lord.
4 Joseph went up from Galilee, from the city of Nazareth, to Judaea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David,5 to be registered with Mary who was betrothed to him, and was with child.
6 While they were there, her time came7 and she gave birth to her son, her first-born, and she wrapped him up and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
A profecia cumprida
Isaías profetizou: a virgem conceberá e dará à luz um filho que se chamará Emanuel. Em Jesus, essa promessa se cumpriu perfeitamente.
20 But while he was thinking this over, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, for what has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.
21 She will bear a son and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins."
22 All this happened in fulfillment of what the Lord had spoken through the prophet:23 "Behold the virgin will conceive and will bear a son, and they will call his name Immanuel" which means, God is with us.
Glória a Deus nas alturas
Os pastores glorificaram a Deus e os anjos cantaram: 'Glória a Deus nas alturas e paz na terra entre os homens a quem Ele quer bem!'
14 "Glory in highest heaven to God, and peace on earth among men in whom he delights."
20 Then the shepherds went back glorifying and praising God for all that they had heard and seen, just as it had been told them.
