Nem só de pão vive o homem
'Nem só de pão vive o homem' — essa declaração de Jesus ao diabo no deserto revela que a Palavra de Deus é o verdadeiro alimento que sustenta a vida em plenitude.
O verdadeiro alimento
Quando tentado a transformar pedras em pão, Jesus respondeu com a Escritura: a vida humana depende de toda palavra que sai da boca de Deus.
He answered, "It is written: Man must not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.",
The devil said to him, "If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread."
But Jesus answered him, "It is written: Man must not live on bread alone.",,
He humbled you by letting you go hungry; then he gave you manna to eat, which you and your ancestors had not known, so that you might learn that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.
Jesus, o pão vivo
Jesus é o pão da vida que desceu do céu. Quem come deste pão viverá para sempre. Ele é o sustento que satisfaz a fome da alma.
"I amthe bread of life," Jesus told them. "No one who comes to mewill ever be hungry,and no one who believes in mewill ever be thirstyagain.
I am the bread of life.
I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread he will liveforever.The bread that I will give for the lifeof the world is my flesh."
Just as the livingFather sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will livebecause of me.This is the bread that came down from heaven; it is not like the mannayour ancestors ate — and they died. The one who eats this bread will live forever."

The Cure for Anxiety
"Therefore I tell you:Don’t worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food and the body more than clothing?
Don’t strive for what you should eat and what you should drink, and don’t be anxious.For the Gentile world eagerly seeksall these things, and your Fatherknows that you need them.
"But seek his kingdom,and these things will be provided for you.
In the meantime the disciples kept urging him, "Rabbi, eat something."
But he said, "I have food to eat that you don’t know about."
The disciples said to one another, "Could someone have brought him something to eat? "
"My food is to do the will of himwho sent meand to finish his work," Jesus told them.
Though the fig tree does not bud
and there is no fruit on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though the flocks disappear from the pen
and there are no herds in the stalls,
yet I will celebrate in the Lord;
I will rejoice in the God of my salvation!
The Lord my Lord is my strength;
he makes my feet like those of a deer
and enables me to walk on mountain heights!
