But He answering said, "It has been written: Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word coming forth from the mouth of God."
and the Devil said to Him, "If You are [the] Son of God, speak to this stone that it may become bread." And Jesus answered him, saying, "It has been written, that, Not on bread only will man live, but on every saying of God."
And He humbles you, and causes you to hunger, and causes you to eat the manna (which you have not known, even your fathers have not known), in order to cause you to know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by everything proceeding [from] the mouth of YHWH.
Jesus, o pão vivo
Jesus é o pão da vida que desceu do céu. Quem come deste pão viverá para sempre. Ele é o sustento que satisfaz a fome da alma.
And Jesus said to them, "I AM the bread of life; he who is coming to Me may not hunger, and he who is believing in Me may not thirst—at any time;
I AM the bread of life;
I AM the living bread that came down out of Heaven; if anyone may eat of this bread he will live—throughout the age; and the bread also that I will give is My flesh, that I will give for the life of the world."
According as the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, he also who is eating Me, even that one will live because of Me; this is the bread that came down out of Heaven; not as your fathers ate the manna, and died; he who is eating this bread will live—throughout the age."
Buscar o Reino acima de tudo
Não andeis ansiosos pelo que comer ou beber. Buscai primeiro o Reino de Deus, e todas estas coisas vos serão acrescentadas.
Because of this I say to you, do not be anxious for your life, what you may eat, and what you may drink, nor for your body, what you may put on. Is not life more than nourishment, and the body than clothing?
And you—do not seek what you may eat, or what you may drink, and do not be in suspense, for the nations of the world seek after all these things, and your Father has known that you have need of these things; but seek the Kingdom of God, and all these things will be added to you.
And in the meanwhile His disciples were asking Him, saying, "Rabbi, eat"; and He said to them, "I have food to eat that you have not known." The disciples then said to one another, "Did anyone bring Him anything to eat?" Jesus says to them, "My food is that I may do the will of Him who sent Me, and may finish His work;
Though the fig tree does not flourish, || And there is no produce among vines, || The work of the olive has failed, || And fields have not yielded food, || The flock has been cut off from the fold, || And there is no herd in the stalls, Yet I, in YHWH I exult, || I am joyful in the God of my salvation. YHWH the Lord [is] my strength, || And He makes my feet like does, || And causes me to tread on my high-places. To the overseer with my stringed instruments!
