So if any one be in Christ, there is a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold all things have become new:(2 Corinthians 5:17)

Para Paulo, rituais externos e aparências perdem o valor diante dessa obra interior:

For in Christ Jesus neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision; but new creation.(Galatians 6:15)

For we are his workmanship, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God has before prepared that we should walk in them.(Ephesians 2:10)

And he that sat on the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he says to me, Write, for these words are true and faithful.(Revelation 21:5)

namely your having put off according to the former conversation the old man which corrupts itself according to the deceitful lusts; and being renewed in the spirit of your mind; and your having put on the new man, which according to God is created in truthful righteousness and holiness.(Ephesians 4:22-24)

Do not lie to one another, having put off the old man with his deeds, and having put on the new, renewed into full knowledge according to the image of him that has created him;(Colossians 3:9,10)

We have been buried therefore with him by baptism unto death, in order that, even as Christ has been raised up from among the dead by the glory of the Father, so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we are become identified with him in the likeness of his death, so also we shall be of his resurrection; knowing this, that our old man has been crucified with him, that the body of sin might be annulled, that we should no longer serve sin. For he that has died is justified from sin.(Romans 6:4-7)

I am crucified with Christ, and no longer live, I, but Christ lives in me; but in that I now live in flesh, I live by faith, the faith of the Son of God, who has loved me and given himself for me.(Galatians 2:20)

And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take away the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh; that they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them; and they shall be my people, and I will be their God(Ezekiel 11:19,20)

Jesus answered and said to him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except any one be born anew he cannot see the kingdom of God.(John 3:3)

through which he has given to us the greatest and precious promises, that through these ye may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.(2 Peter 1:4)

— Remember not the former things, neither consider the ancient things: behold, I do a new thing; now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, rivers in the waste.(Isaiah 43:18,19)
