2 And I saw *the holy city, *new Jerusalem, *coming down out of heaven from God, *prepared *as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, *the dwelling place* of God is with man. He will *dwell with them, and they will be his people,* and God himself will be with them as their God.*4 *He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and *death shall be no more, *neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away."

10 And *he carried me away in the Spirit to *a great, high mountain, and showed me the holy city Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God, 11 *having the glory of God, *its radiance *like a most rare jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. 12 It had a great, high wall, *with twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and on the gates the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel were inscribed— 13 on the east three gates, on the north three gates, on the south three gates, and on the west three gates. 14 And the wall of the city had twelve *foundations, and *on them were the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

22 And *I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb. 23 And the city *has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for *the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb.

1 Then the angel* showed me *the river of *the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 through the middle of *the street of the city; *also, on either side of the river, *the tree of life* with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were *for the healing of the nations. 3 *No longer will there be anything accursed, but *the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and *his servants will worship him. 4 *They will see his face, and *his name will be on their foreheads. 5 And *night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp *or sun, for *the Lord God will be their light, and *they will reign forever and ever.

16 But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed *to be called their God, for *he has prepared for them a city.

22 But you have come to *Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, *the heavenly Jerusalem, and to *innumerable angels in festal gathering, 23 and to *the assembly* of the firstborn who are *enrolled in heaven, and to *God, the judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, 24 and to Jesus, *the mediator of a new covenant, and to *the sprinkled blood *that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.

26 But *the Jerusalem above is free, and she is our mother.

1 *"Let not your hearts be troubled. *Believe in God;*believe also in me.2 In *my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that *I go to prepare a place for you?*3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you *to myself, that *where I am you may be also.

4 There is *a river whose streams make glad *the city of God,

the holy *habitation of the Most High.

35 The circumference of the city shall be 18,000 cubits. And *the name of the city from that time on shall be, *The Lord Is There."

10 *Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion, for *behold, I come *and I will dwell in your midst, declares the Lord. 11 *And many nations shall join themselves to the Lord in that day, and shall be my people. *And I will dwell in your midst, and *you shall know that the Lord of hosts has sent me to you. 12 *And the Lord will inherit Judah as his portion in the holy land, and will again *choose Jerusalem."

11 *I am coming soon. *Hold fast what you have, so that no one may seize *your crown.12 *The one who conquers, I will make him *a pillar in the temple of my God. Never shall he go out of it, and I will write on him *the name of my God, and *the name of the city of my God, *the new Jerusalem, *which comes down from my God out of heaven, and my own *new name.

19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in *the tree of life and in *the holy city, which are described in this book.
