2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is among the people, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His *people, and God Himself will be among them*, 4 and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away."

10 And he carried me away *in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, 11 having the glory of God. Her *brilliance was like a very valuable stone, like a stone of crystal-clear jasper. 12 *It had a great and high wall, *with twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels; and names were written on the gates, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel. 13 There were three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west. 14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundation stones, and on them were the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

22 I saw no *temple in it, for the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb are its *temple. 23 And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illuminated it, and its lamp is the Lamb.

1 And he showed me a river of the water of life, *clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of *the Lamb, 2 in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve *kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3 There will no longer be any curse; and the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His bond-servants will serve Him; 4 they will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads. 5 And there will no longer be any night; and they *will not have need of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God will illuminate them; and they will reign forever and ever.

16 But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not *ashamed to be called their God; for He has prepared a city for them.

22 But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of *angels, 23 to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the Judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, 24 and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks better than the blood of Abel.

26 But the Jerusalem above is free; *she is our mother.

1 "Do not let your heart be troubled; *believe in God, believe also in Me.2 In My Father’s house are many *rooms; if that were not so,*I would have told you, because I am going there to prepare a place for you.3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I am coming again and will take you to Myself, so that where I am, there you also will be.

4 There is a river whose streams make the city of God happy,

The holy dwelling places of the Most High.

35 The city shall be eighteen thousand cubits all around; and the name of the city from that day shall be, ‘*The Lord is there.’ "

10 Shout for joy and rejoice, daughter of Zion; for behold I am coming and I will dwell in your midst," declares the Lord. 11 "And many nations will join themselves to the Lord on that day and will become My people. Then I will dwell in your midst, and you will know that the Lord of armies has sent Me to you. 12 And the Lord will *possess Judah as His portion in the holy land, and will again choose Jerusalem.

11 I am coming quickly; hold firmly to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.12 The one who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he will not go out from it anymore; and I will write on him the name of My God, and the name of the city of My God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God, and My new name.

19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and *from the holy city, which are written in this book.
