"When you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites, for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Most certainly, I tell you, they have received their reward. (Matthew 6:5)

But you, when you pray, enter into your inner room, and having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. (Matthew 6:6)

In praying, don’t use vain repetitions as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking. Therefore don’t be like them, for your Father knows what things you need before you ask him. (Matthew 6:7,8)

Pray like this:

"‘Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.

Let your Kingdom come.

Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us today our daily bread.

Forgive us our debts,

as we also forgive our debtors.

Bring us not into temptation,

but deliver us from the evil one.

For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.’ (Matthew 6:9-13)

He said to them, "When you pray, say,

‘Our Father in heaven,

may your name be kept holy.

May your Kingdom come.

May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.

Give us day by day our daily bread.

Forgive us our sins,

for we ourselves also forgive everyone who is indebted to us.

Bring us not into temptation,

but deliver us from the evil one.’"(Luke 11:2-4)

"Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened. (Matthew 7:7,8)

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him! (Matthew 7:11)

"I tell you, keep asking, and it will be given you. Keep seeking, and you will find. Keep knocking, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened.(Luke 11:9,10)

He also spoke a parable to them that they must always pray and not give up, saying, "There was a judge in a certain city who didn’t fear God and didn’t respect man. A widow was in that city, and she often came to him, saying, ‘Defend me from my adversary!’ He wouldn’t for a while; but afterward he said to himself, ‘Though I neither fear God nor respect man, yet because this widow bothers me, I will defend her, or else she will wear me out by her continual coming.’"

The Lord said, "Listen to what the unrighteous judge says. Won’t God avenge his chosen ones who are crying out to him day and night, and yet he exercises patience with them? I tell you that he will avenge them quickly. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?"(Luke 18:1-8)

Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them. (Mark 11:24)

All things, whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."(Matthew 21:22)

Whatever you will ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it. (John 14:13,14)

If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you.(John 15:7)

You didn’t choose me, but I chose you and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever you will ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you.(John 15:16)

Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full. (John 16:24)

‘Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great and difficult things, which you don’t know.’(Jeremiah 33:3)

You shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you.(Jeremiah 29:12)

You shall seek me and find me, when you search for me with all your heart.(Jeremiah 29:13)

In my distress I called on Yahweh,

and cried to my God.

He heard my voice out of his temple.

My cry before him came into his ears.(Psalms 18:6)

For he has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted,

neither has he hidden his face from him;

but when he cried to him, he heard.(Psalms 22:24)

Call on me in the day of trouble.

I will deliver you, and you will honor me."(Psalms 50:15)

I cried to him with my mouth.

He was extolled with my tongue.(Psalms 66:17)

If I cherished sin in my heart,

the Lord wouldn’t have listened.

But most certainly, God has listened.

He has heard the voice of my prayer.(Psalms 66:18,19)

He has responded to the prayer of the destitute,

and has not despised their prayer.(Psalms 102:17)

I love Yahweh, because he listens to my voice,

and my cries for mercy.

Because he has turned his ear to me,

therefore I will call on him as long as I live.(Psalms 116:1,2)

Yahweh is near to all those who call on him,

to all who call on him in truth.(Psalms 145:18)

For the people will dwell in Zion at Jerusalem. You will weep no more. He will surely be gracious to you at the voice of your cry. When he hears you, he will answer you.(Isaiah 30:19)

Seek Yahweh while he may be found.

Call on him while he is near.(Isaiah 55:6)

It will happen that before they call, I will answer;

and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.(Isaiah 65:24)

A atitude do coração diante de Deus

A oração bíblica exige sinceridade interior.

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, without any doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed. For that man shouldn’t think that he will receive anything from the Lord. He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.(James 1:5-8)

You lust, and don’t have. You murder and covet, and can’t obtain. You fight and make war. You don’t have, because you don’t ask.(James 4:2)

Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners. Purify your hearts, you double-minded.(James 4:8)

Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.(James 5:16)

He who turns away his ear from hearing the law,

even his prayer is an abomination.(Proverbs 28:9)

But know that Yahweh has set apart for himself him who is godly;

Yahweh will hear when I call to him.(Psalms 4:3)

Rest in Yahweh, and wait patiently for him.

Don’t fret because of him who prospers in his way,

because of the man who makes wicked plots happen.(Psalms 37:7)

Trust in him at all times, you people.

Pour out your heart before him.

God is a refuge for us. Selah.(Psalms 62:8)

This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.(1 John 5:14,15)

so whatever we ask, we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing in his sight.(1 John 3:22)

Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need.(Hebrews 4:16)

Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him.(Hebrews 11:6)

Therefore he is also able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, seeing that he lives forever to make intercession for them.(Hebrews 7:25)

He went forward a little, fell on his face, and prayed, saying, "My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me; nevertheless, not what I desire, but what you desire."(Matthew 26:39)

Concerning this thing, I begged the Lord three times that it might depart from me. He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me.(2 Corinthians 12:8,9)

In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered. He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit’s mind, because he makes intercession for the saints according to God.(Romans 8:26,27)

In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.(Philippians 4:6,7)

My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.(Philippians 4:19)

Evening, morning, and at noon, I will cry out in distress.

He will hear my voice.(Psalms 55:17)

God, you are my God.

I will earnestly seek you.

My soul thirsts for you.

My flesh longs for you,

in a dry and weary land, where there is no water.(Psalms 63:1)

Always rejoice. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you.(1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints.(Ephesians 6:18)

Continue steadfastly in prayer, watching in it with thanksgiving,(Colossians 4:2)

rejoicing in hope, enduring in troubles, continuing steadfastly in prayer,(Romans 12:12)

I desire therefore that the men in every place pray, lifting up holy hands without anger and doubting.(1 Timothy 2:8)

Most certainly I tell you, whatever things you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven, and whatever things you release on earth will have been released in heaven. (Matthew 18:18)

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them."(Matthew 18:20)

"But I tell you who hear: love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you. (Luke 6:27,28)

All these with one accord continued steadfastly in prayer and supplication, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.(Acts 1:14)

But about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.(Acts 16:25)

But the end of all things is near. Therefore be of sound mind, self-controlled, and sober in prayer.(1 Peter 4:7)

Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,(Ephesians 3:20)
