Turn aside your wine from you." 15 And Hannah answers and says, "No, my lord, I [am] a woman sharply pained in spirit, and I have not drunk wine and strong drink, and I pour out my soul before YHWH; 16 do not put your handmaid before a daughter of worthlessness, for from the abundance of my meditation, and of my provocation, I have spoken until now." 17 And Eli answers and says, "Go in peace, and the God of Israel gives your petition which you have asked of Him." 18 And she says, "Let your handmaid find grace in your eyes"; and the woman goes on her way, and eats, and her face has not been [downcast] for herself anymore. 19 And they rise early in the morning, and bow themselves before YHWH, and turn back, and come to their house in Ramah, and Elkanah knows his wife Hannah, and YHWH remembers her; 20 and it comes to pass, at the revolution of the days, that Hannah conceives, and bears a son, and calls his name Samuel, for, "I have asked for him from YHWH."

41 And Elijah says to Ahab, "Go up, eat and drink, because of the sound of the noise of the shower." 42 And Ahab goes up to eat, and to drink, and Elijah has gone up to the top of Carmel, and he stretches himself out on the earth, and he places his face between his knees, 43 and says to his young man, "Now go up, look attentively [toward] the way of the sea"; and he goes up and looks attentively, and says, "There is nothing"; and he says, "Turn back," seven times. 44 And it comes to pass, at the seventh, that he says, "Behold, a little thickness as the palm of a man is coming up out of the sea." And he says, "Go up, say to Ahab, Bind and go down, and the shower does not restrain you." 45 And it comes to pass, in the meantime, that the heavens have become black—thick clouds and wind—and the shower is great; and Ahab rides, and goes to Jezreel,

36 Then Jesus comes with them to a place called Gethsemane, and He says to the disciples, "Sit here, until having gone away, I will pray over there." 37 And having taken Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, He began to be sorrowful, and to be very heavy; 38 then He says to them, "Exceedingly sorrowful is My soul—to death; abide here, and watch with Me." 39 And having gone forward a little, He fell on His face, praying, and saying, "My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You." 40 And He comes to the disciples, and finds them sleeping, and He says to Peter, "So! You were not able to watch with Me one hour! 41 Watch, and pray, that you may not enter into temptation: the spirit indeed is forward, but the flesh weak." 42 Again, a second time, having gone away, He prayed, saying, "My Father, if this cup cannot pass away from Me except I drink it, Your will be done"; 43 and having come, He finds them again sleeping, for their eyes were heavy. 44 And having left them, having gone away again, He prayed a third time, saying the same word; 45 then He comes to His disciples and says to them, "Sleep on from now on, and rest! Behold, the hour has come near, and the Son of Man is delivered up into the hands of sinners. 46 Rise, let us go; behold, he who is delivering Me up has come near."
