Ouvir a voz de Deus é o privilégio supremo do cristão. Ele fala por sua Palavra, pelo Espírito e em circunstâncias — e as ovelhas reconhecem a voz do bom Pastor.
As ovelhas ouvem a voz do Pastor
Jesus disse: minhas ovelhas ouvem minha voz, eu as conheço e elas me seguem. A relação com Deus é íntima e pessoal.
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.
It is written in the prophets, ‘And they will all be taught by God.’ Therefore everyone who listens and learns from the Father comes to me.
The one who is of God hears God’s words; that is why you do not hear, because you are not of God."
The Son is the just Judge
"Most assuredly I say to you that the one listening to my word and believing on Him who sent me has eternal life; he will not go into judging but has moved out of the death into the Life.
"Most assuredly I say to you that a time is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of the God, and those who listen will live.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, God. In verse 2 the Text also has "the God". and the Word was God.
Jesus—the Only-begotten
So the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we observed His glory, glory of an Only-begotten, from the Father, full of grace and truth.

"Therefore whoever hears these words of mine and does them, I will compare him to a prudent man who built his house on the bedrock; and the rain fell, and the rivers rose, and the winds blew and attacked that house; and it did not fall, because it was founded on the bedrock.
But He said, "More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and obey it!"
