Pai da mentira
A Bíblia revela que o diabo é o pai da mentira. Ele engana, acusa e tenta destruir. Mas Cristo veio para desfazer as obras do maligno e nos dar vitória.
O caráter do diabo
Jesus disse que o diabo é mentiroso e homicida desde o princípio. Não há verdade nele — a mentira é sua natureza.
As obras do inimigo
O diabo rouba a Palavra semeada, cega o entendimento dos incrédulos e anda em derredor como leão rugidor buscando a quem devorar.
When anyone heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the evil one, and snatcheth away that which hath been sown in his heart. This is he that was sown by the wayside.
and the field is the world; and the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom; and the tares are the sons of the evil one; and the enemy that sowed them is the devil: and the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are angels.
Vitória em Cristo
Cristo apareceu para destruir as obras do diabo. Quem está em Deus é protegido, e o maligno não o toca.
to open their eyes, that they may turn away from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive remission of sins and an inheritance among them that are sanctified by faith in me.
