Pai da mentira
A Bíblia revela que o diabo é o pai da mentira. Ele engana, acusa e tenta destruir. Mas Cristo veio para desfazer as obras do maligno e nos dar vitória.
O caráter do diabo
Jesus disse que o diabo é mentiroso e homicida desde o princípio. Não há verdade nele — a mentira é sua natureza.
You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he tells a lie, he speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies.
And during supper, the devil having already put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, to betray Him,
And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying,
"Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers and sisters has been thrown down, the one who accuses them before our God day and night.
No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.
in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they will not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
As obras do inimigo
O diabo rouba a Palavra semeada, cega o entendimento dos incrédulos e anda em derredor como leão rugidor buscando a quem devorar.
When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is the one sown with seed beside the road.
and the field is the world; and as for the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom; and the weeds are the sons of the evil one;and the enemy who sowed them is the devil, and the harvest is the end of the age; and the reapers are angels.
Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and false signs and wonders,
I will not speak much more with you, for the ruler of the world is coming, and he has nothing in regard to Me,
Vitória em Cristo
Cristo apareceu para destruir as obras do diabo. Quem está em Deus é protegido, e o maligno não o toca.
the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.
We know that no one who has been born of God sins; but He who was born of God keeps him, and the evil one does not touch him. We know that we are of God, and that the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.
to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Me.’
And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
Submit therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Jesus *said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.
