12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he shall ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? offer: Gr. give13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

8 But if any provideth not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. house: or, kindred
