Deus é nosso Pai celestial — amoroso, provedor, disciplinador e fiel. As Escrituras também honram os pais terrenos e os chamam a criar os filhos na instrução do Senhor.
O Pai celestial
Deus é Pai de misericórdias. Ele nos adotou como filhos, nos ama incondicionalmente e cuida de cada detalhe da nossa vida.

God’s Spirit doesn’t make us slaves who are afraid of him. Instead, we become his children and call him our Father.God’s Spirit makes us sure that we are his children.
Yet some people accepted him
and put their faith in him.
So he gave them the right
to be the children of God.
I pray that God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ will be kind to you and will bless you with peace!

O cuidado paterno de Deus
O Pai celestial sabe do que precisamos antes de pedirmos. Ele dá boas dádivas aos filhos que pedem e cuida até dos passarinhos.
Look at the birds in the sky! They don’t plant or harvest. They don’t even store grain in barns. Yet your Father in heaven takes care of them. Aren’t you worth much more than birds?
Aren’t two sparrows sold for only a penny? But your Father knows when any one of them falls to the ground. Even the hairs on your head are counted. So don’t be afraid! You are worth much more than many sparrows.
When you pray, go into a room alone and close the door. Pray to your Father in private. He knows what is done in private and will reward you.
Instead, comb your hair and wash your face. Then others won’t know you are going without eating. But your Father sees what is done in private, and he will reward you.
Which one of you fathers would give your hungry child a snake if the child asked for a fish? Which one of you would give your child a scorpion if the child asked for an egg? As bad as you are, you still know how to give good gifts to your children. But your heavenly Father is even more ready to give the Holy Spirit to anyone who asks.
My little group of disciples, don’t be afraid! Your Father wants to give you the kingdom.
Every good and perfect gift comes down from the Father who created all the lights in the heavens. He is always the same and never makes dark shadows by changing.
God did not keep back his own Son, but he gave him for us. If God did this, won’t he freely give us everything else?
Conhecer o Pai
Jesus é o caminho para o Pai. Ninguém conhece o Pai senão o Filho e aquele a quem o Filho quiser revelar.
"I am the way, the truth, and the life!" Jesus answered. "Without me, no one can go to the Father.
There are many rooms in my Father’s house. I wouldn’t tell you this, unless it was true. I am going there to prepare a place for each of you.
Ask me, and I will do whatever you ask. This way the Son will bring honor to the Father.
If you love me, you will do what I have said, and my Father will love you. I will also love you and show you what I am like.
Jesus replied:
If anyone loves me, they will obey me. Then my Father will love them, and we will come to them and live in them.
No one has ever seen God. The only Son, who is truly God and is closest to the Father, has shown us what God is like.
and I give them eternal life, so that they will never be lost. No one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father gave them to me, and he is greater than all others. No one can snatch them from his hands, and I am one with the Father.
Father, I want everyone you have given me to be with me, wherever I am. Then they will see the glory you have given me, because you loved me before the world was created.
My Father has given me everything, and he is the only one who knows the Son. The only one who truly knows the Father is the Son. But the Son wants to tell others about the Father, so they can know him too.
But you must always act like your Father in heaven.
But none of you should be called a teacher. You have only one teacher, and all of you are like brothers and sisters. Don’t call anyone on earth your father. All of you have the same Father in heaven.
Don’t you know that I could ask my Father, and he would at once send me more than twelve armies of angels?
Have pity on others, just as your Father has pity on you.
May God our Father be praised forever and ever. Amen.
Disciplina e amor paterno
O Pai disciplina os filhos que ama. A correção divina produz fruto de justiça e paz para aqueles que foram exercitados por ela.
Be patient when you are being corrected! This is how God treats his children. Don’t all parents correct their children? God corrects all his children, and if he doesn’t correct you, then you don’t really belong to him. Our earthly fathers correct us, and we still respect them. Isn’t it even better to be given true life by letting our spiritual Father correct us?
Our human fathers correct us for a short time, and they do it as they think best. But God corrects us for our own good, because he wants us to be holy, as he is.

Pais terrenos
A Bíblia honra os pais que criam os filhos nos caminhos de Deus. Honrar pai e mãe é mandamento com promessa de vida longa.
Children, you belong to the Lord, and you do the right thing when you obey your parents. The first commandment with a promise says, "Obey your father and your mother, and you will have a long and happy life."
Parents, don’t be hard on your children. Raise them properly. Teach them and instruct them about the Lord.

Children are a blessing
and a gift from the Lord.
Having a lot of children
to take care of you
in your old age
is like a warrior
with a lot of arrows.
The more you have,
the better off you will be,
because they will protect you
when your enemies
attack you in court.
Only the living can thank you,
as I am doing today.
Each generation tells the next
about your faithfulness.
Parents must not be put to death for crimes committed by their children, and children must not be put to death for crimes committed by their parents. Don’t put anyone to death for someone else’s crime.

Don’t love the world or anything that belongs to the world. If you love the world, you cannot love the Father.
