Deus é nosso Pai celestial — amoroso, provedor, disciplinador e fiel. As Escrituras também honram os pais terrenos e os chamam a criar os filhos na instrução do Senhor.
O Pai celestial
Deus é Pai de misericórdias. Ele nos adotou como filhos, nos ama incondicionalmente e cuida de cada detalhe da nossa vida.

Look at the birds—they don't sow or reap or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you worth more than they are?
Aren't two sparrows sold for just one penny? But not a single one of them falls to the ground without your Father knowing about it. Even the hairs on your head have all been counted. So don't worry—you're worth more than many sparrows!
But you, when you pray, go indoors and close the door, and pray to your Father in private, and your Father who sees what happens in private will reward you.

Disciplina e amor paterno
O Pai disciplina os filhos que ama. A correção divina produz fruto de justiça e paz para aqueles que foram exercitados por ela.
Be patient as you experience God's discipline because he is treating you as his children. What child doesn't experience a father's discipline? If you are not disciplined (which everyone has experienced), then you are illegitimate and not true children. For if we respected our earthly fathers who disciplined us, shouldn't we even more be subject to the discipline of our spiritual Father which leads to life? They disciplined us for a short while as they thought appropriate, but God does so for our benefit in order that we can share his holy character.
My son, don't reject the Lord's discipline or resent it when he corrects you, for the Lord corrects those he loves, as a father corrects a son who pleases him.

Pais terrenos
A Bíblia honra os pais que criam os filhos nos caminhos de Deus. Honrar pai e mãe é mandamento com promessa de vida longa.
Children, as believers in the Lord, do what your parents tell you, for this is the right thing to do. "Honor your father and mother." This is the first commandment that has a promise attached: "that things may go well for you and you may live a long life on the earth." Fathers, don't make your children mad, but look after them by disciplining them and instructing them about God.
