From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that it is necessary for Him to go away to Jerusalem, and to suffer many things from the elders, and chief priests, and scribes, and to be put to death, and the third day to rise.
then He says to them, "Exceedingly sorrowful is My soul—to death; abide here, and watch with Me."
and having been found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself, having become obedient to death—even death of a cross,
Seeing, then, the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself also took part of the same in like manner, that through death He might destroy him having the power of death—that is, the Devil— and might deliver those, whoever, with fear of death, throughout all their life, were subjects of bondage,
O sacrifício voluntário
Ninguém tirou a vida de Jesus — Ele a deu voluntariamente. Ele veio para servir e dar a sua vida em resgate por muitos.
Because of this the Father loves Me, because I lay down My life, that again I may take it; no one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself; authority I have to lay it down, and authority I have again to take it; this command I received from My Father."

And the chief priests and all the Sanhedrin were seeking testimony against Jesus—to put Him to death, and they were not finding,
and God commends His own love to us, that, in our being still sinners, Christ died for us;
for to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving to you an example, that you may follow His steps, who did not commit sin, nor was guile found in His mouth, who being reviled—was not reviling again, suffering—was not threatening, and was committing Himself to Him who is judging righteously, who Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree that having died to sins, we may live to righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed;
He is despised, and left of men, || A Man of pains, and acquainted with sickness, || And as one hiding the face from us, || He is despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely He has borne our sicknesses, || And our pains—He has carried them, || And we have esteemed Him [as] plagued, struck of God, and afflicted. And He is pierced for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities, || The discipline of our peace [is] on Him, || And by His scourging we are healed.
