A Palavra de Deus é viva, eficaz e eterna. Desde 'No princípio era o Verbo' até 'O céu e a terra passarão, mas as minhas palavras não hão de passar', ela é a revelação suprema do Criador.
No princípio era o Verbo
A Palavra é Deus encarnado. No princípio era o Verbo, o Verbo estava com Deus, e o Verbo era Deus. Todas as coisas foram feitas por Ele.

Seja praticante da Palavra e não apenas ouvinte. Jesus disse que quem ouve e pratica é como o homem sábio que edificou sobre a rocha.

Do all things without murmurings and deliberations, that you may become blameless and pure children of God, unblemished in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as luminaries in the world, holding forth the word of life, for rejoicing to me in regard to [the] Day of Christ, that I did not run in vain, nor did I labor in vain; but if I also am poured forth on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and am glad with you all, because of this you also rejoice and are glad with me. And I thought [it] necessary to send to you Epaphroditus—my brother and fellow-workman and fellow-soldier, and your apostle and servant to my need, seeing he was longing after you all, and in heaviness, because you heard that he ailed, for he also ailed near to death, but God dealt kindly with him, and not with him only, but also with me, that I might not have sorrow on sorrow. The more eagerly, therefore, I sent him, that having seen him again you may rejoice, and I may be less sorrowful; receive him, therefore, in the LORD, with all joy, and hold such in honor, because on account of the work of the Christ he drew near to death, having hazarded life that he might fill up your deficiency of service to me.

As palavras de Deus são espírito e vida. Quem fala deve falar como oráculos de Deus, com verdade, sabedoria e edificação.
A rash speaker is like piercings of a sword, || And the tongue of the wise is healing.
Sorrow in the heart of a man bows down, || And a good word makes him glad.
A fountain of life [is] the mouth of the righteous, || And the mouth of the wicked covers violence.
A soft answer turns back fury, || And a grievous word raises up anger.
From the fruit of a man’s mouth is his belly satisfied, || [From the] increase of his lips he is satisfied. Death and life [are] in the power of the tongue, || And those loving it eat its fruit.
But the things coming forth from the mouth come forth from the heart, and these defile the man; for out of the heart come forth evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, whoredoms, thefts, false witnessings, slanders:
And I say to you that every idle word that men may speak, they will give for it a reckoning in [the] day of judgment; for from your words you will be declared righteous, and from your words you will be declared unrighteous."
Brood of vipers! How are you able to speak good things—being evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
for we all make many stumbles; if anyone does not stumble in word, this one [is] a perfect man, able to also bridle the whole body;
behold, the bits we put into the mouths of the horses for their obeying us, and we direct their whole body; behold, also the ships, being so great, and being driven by fierce winds, are directed by a very small rudder, wherever the impulse of the [one] steering wills, so also the tongue is a little member, and boasts greatly; behold, how much forest a little fire kindles! And the tongue [is] a fire, the world of the unrighteousness, so the tongue is set in our members, which is spotting our whole body, and is setting on fire the course of nature, and is set on fire by Gehenna. For every nature, both of beasts and of birds, both of creeping things and things of the sea, is subdued, and has been subdued, by the human nature, but no one of men is able to subdue the tongue—[it is] an unruly evil, full of deadly poison;
So then faith [is] by a report, and the report through a saying of God, but I say, did they not hear? Yes, indeed, "their voice went forth to all the earth, and their sayings to the ends of the habitable world."
