A mulher virtuosa
Mulher virtuosa, quem a achará? Seu valor excede o de rubis. Ela é sábia, trabalhadora, generosa e temida pelo Senhor.
[ALEPH-BET] A woman of worth who finds? Indeed, her price [is] far above rubies. The heart of her husband has trusted in her, || And he does not lack spoil. She has done him good, and not evil, || All [the] days of her life.
She has sought wool and flax, || And with delight she works [with] her hands. She has been as ships of the merchant, || She brings in her bread from afar. Indeed, she rises while yet night, || And gives food to her household, || And a portion to her girls. She has considered a field, and takes it, || She has planted a vineyard from the fruit of her hands. She has girded her loins with might, || And strengthens her arms. She has perceived when her merchandise [is] good, || Her lamp is not extinguished in the night. She has sent forth her hands on a spindle, || And her hands have held a distaff. She has spread forth her hand to the poor, || Indeed, she sent forth her hands to the needy.
She has made linen garments, and sells, || And she has given a girdle to the merchant. Strength and honor [are] her clothing, || And she rejoices at a latter day. She has opened her mouth in wisdom, || And the law of kindness [is] on her tongue. She [is] watching the ways of her household, || And she does not eat bread of sloth.
Every wise woman has built her house, || And the foolish breaks it down with her hands.
Hear, my son, the instruction of your father, || And do not leave the law of your mother,
Beleza interior
A beleza verdadeira não é exterior, mas o caráter incorruptível de um espírito manso e tranquilo. Isso tem grande valor diante de Deus.
Wives, be subject to your own husbands in like manner, that even if some are disobedient to the word, they may be won through the behavior of the wives without the word, having beheld your pure behavior in fear, whose adorning—let it not be that which is outward, of braiding of hair, and of putting around of things of gold, or of putting on of garments, but—the hidden man of the heart, by the incorruptible [thing] of the meek and quiet spirit, which is of great value before God, for thus once also the holy women who hoped on God were adorning themselves, being subject to their own husbands, as Sarah was obedient to Abraham, calling him "lord," of whom you became daughters, doing good, and not fearing any terror.
Husbands, in like manner, dwelling with [them], according to knowledge, as to a weaker vessel—to the wife—imparting honor, as also being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers are not hindered.
also the women in like manner, in orderly apparel, to adorn themselves with modesty and sobriety, not in braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or clothing of great price,
Women, in like manner, dignified, not false accusers, vigilant, faithful in all things.
Parceria e dignidade
Deus criou homem e mulher à sua imagem. A mulher não é inferior, mas parceira e co-herdeira da graça da vida.
And God creates the man in His image; in the image of God He created him, a male and a female He created them. And God blesses them, and God says to them, "Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it, and rule over [the] fish of the sea, and over [the] bird of the heavens, and over every living thing that is creeping on the earth."
And YHWH God says, "[It is] not good for the man to be alone; I make him a helper as his counterpart."
To the woman He said, "Multiplying I multiply your sorrow and your conception; you will bear children in sorrow, and your desire [is] toward your Man [[or husband]], and He [[or he]] will rule over you."
but neither [is] a man apart from a woman, nor a woman apart from a man, in the LORD, for as the woman [is] of the man, so also the man [is] through the woman, and all the things [are] of God.
The wives: [subject yourselves] to your own husbands, as to the LORD, because the husband is head of the wife, as also the Christ [is] head of the Assembly, and He is Savior of the body, but even as the Assembly is subject to Christ, so also [are] the wives [subject] to their own husbands in everything.
Aged women, in like manner, in behavior as becomes sacred persons, not false accusers, not enslaved to much wine, teachers of good things, that they may make the young women sober-minded, to be lovers of [their] husbands, lovers of [their] children, sober, pure, keepers of [their own] houses, good, subject to their own husbands, that evil may not be spoken of the word of God.
