O papel do homem
Marido e pai
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her
Fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath; instead, bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.
Husbands, in the same way, treat your wives with consideration as a delicate vessel, and with honor as fellow heirs of the gracious gift of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered.
If anyone does not provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
For even while we were with you, we gave you this command: "If anyone is unwilling to work, he shall not eat."
Whatever you do, work at it with your whole being, as for the Lord and not for men,
An overseer, then, must be above reproach, the husband of but one wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not dependent on wine, not violent but gentle, peaceable, and free of the love of money.
An overseer must manage his own household well and keep his children under control, with complete dignity.
Be on the alert. Stand firm in the faith. Be men of courage. Be strong.
For I have chosen him, so that he will command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing what is right and just, in order that the LORD may bring upon Abraham what He has promised."
Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to reckless indiscretion. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.
