9 And the crowds who went before him and who followed cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David; blessed {be} he who comes in the name of {the} Lord; hosanna in the highest.
25 Oh save, Jehovah, I beseech thee; Jehovah, I beseech thee, oh send prosperity!26 Blessed be he that cometh in the name of Jehovah. We have blessed you out of the house of Jehovah.
9 Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion; shout, daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, thy King cometh to thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly and riding upon an ass, even upon a colt the foal of an ass.
18 Behold we go up to Jerusalem, and the Son of man will be delivered up to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death;19 and they will deliver him up to the nations to mock and to scourge and to crucify, and the third day he shall rise again.
A paixão de Cristo
Jesus foi zombado, açoitado e crucificado. Ele orou no Getsêmani e entregou sua vida voluntariamente, dizendo: 'Está consumado!'
28 and having taken off his garment, put on him a scarlet cloak;29 and having woven a crown out of thorns, they put it on his head, and a reed in his right hand; and, bowing the knee before him, they mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!
37 And they set up over his head his accusation written: This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.
36 And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible to thee: take away this cup from me; but not what *I* will, but what *thou* {wilt}.
46 And Jesus, having cried with a loud voice, said, Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit. And having said this, he expired.
30 When therefore Jesus had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished; and having bowed his head, he delivered up his spirit.
A ressurreição gloriosa
Ele não está aqui — ressuscitou! O túmulo vazio é a prova de que a morte foi derrotada e Cristo vive para sempre.
5 And the angel answering said to the women, Fear not *ye*, for I know that ye seek Jesus the crucified one.6 He is not here, for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
6 but he says to them, Be not alarmed. Ye seek Jesus, the Nazarene, the crucified one. He is risen, he is not here; behold the place where they had put him.
6 He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spoke to you, being yet in Galilee,7 saying, The Son of man must be delivered up into the hands of sinners, and be crucified, and rise the third day.
8 Then entered in therefore the other disciple also who came first to the tomb, and he saw and believed;9 for they had not yet known the scripture, that he must rise from among {the} dead.
