9 Then the crowds who went before, and those following were crying out, saying: "Hosanna to the Son of David! 'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!' Hosanna in the highest!"
18 "Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn Him to death,19 and they will hand Him over to the Gentiles to mock and to scourge and to crucify. And the third day He shall rise again."
A paixão de Cristo
Jesus foi zombado, açoitado e crucificado. Ele orou no Getsêmani e entregou sua vida voluntariamente, dizendo: 'Está consumado!'
28 And having stripped Him, they put a scarlet robe on Him.29 When they had twisted a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand. And kneeling before Him, they mocked Him, saying, "Hail, King of the Jews!"
37 And they put up over His head the crime having been written [against] Him: THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
36 And He said, "Abba, Father, all things are possible to You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You [will]."
46 And Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, "Father, 'into Your hands I will commit My spirit.' "And after He said these things, He expired.
30 Therefore when Jesus received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!"And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
A ressurreição gloriosa
Ele não está aqui — ressuscitou! O túmulo vazio é a prova de que a morte foi derrotada e Cristo vive para sempre.
5 But the angel answered and said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified.6 He is not here! For He is risen, just as He said. Come; see the place where the Lord was lying.
6 But he said to them, "Do not be alarmed. You are seeking Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has arisen! He is not here! See the place where they put Him.
6 He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee,7 saying, 'The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise again.' "
8 Then the other disciple, who came to the tomb first, went in also; and he saw and believed.9 For as yet they did not know the Scripture, that He must rise again from the dead.
