9 Both the crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed him kept shouting, "Hosanna to the Son of David! How blessed is the one who comesin the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest heaven!"
18 "See, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the high priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death.19 Then they will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked, whipped, and crucified, but on the third day he will be raised."
A paixão de Cristo
Jesus foi zombado, açoitado e crucificado. Ele orou no Getsêmani e entregou sua vida voluntariamente, dizendo: 'Está consumado!'
28 They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him.29 Twisting some thorns into a victor's crown, they placed it on his head and put a stick in his right hand. They knelt down in front of him and began making fun of him, saying, "Long live the king of the Jews!"
37 Above his head they placed the charge against him. It read, "This is Jesus, the king of the Jews."
36 He kept repeating,"Abba!Father! All things are possible for you. Take this cup away from me. Yet not what I want but what you want."
46 Then Jesus cried out with a loud voice and said,"Father, into your hands I entrust my spirit." After he said this, he breathed his last.
30 After Jesus had taken the wine, he said,"It is finished." Then he bowed his head and released his spirit.
A ressurreição gloriosa
Ele não está aqui — ressuscitou! O túmulo vazio é a prova de que a morte foi derrotada e Cristo vive para sempre.
5 But the angel said to the women, "Stop being afraid! For I know you're looking for Jesus, who was crucified.6 He is not here. He has been raised, just as he said. Come and see the place where he was lying.
6 But he said to them, "Stop being astonished! You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has been raised. He is not here. Look at the place where they laid him.
6 He is not here but has been raised. Remember what he told you while he was still in Galilee,7 ‘the Son of Man must be handed over to sinful men, be crucified, and rise on the third day.’"
8 Then the other disciple, who arrived at the tomb first, went inside, looked, and believed.9 For they did not yet understand the Scripture that said that he had to rise from the dead.
