Páscoa: o significado da morte e ressurreição de Jesus
A Páscoa cristã celebra a morte e a ressurreição de Jesus Cristo. Na tradição bíblica, ela representa a passagem da condenação para a vida: o sacrifício de Jesus como o Cordeiro de Deus que tira o pecado do mundo e inaugura uma nova aliança por meio da sua vitória sobre a sepultura.
A entrada em Jerusalém e o cumprimento das profecias
Dias antes da sua crucificação, Jesus entrou em Jerusalém montado em um jumentinho. O gesto cumpriu com exatidão a profecia de Zacarias sobre a chegada de um Rei justo e humilde. A multidão o recebeu com ramos e cânticos messiânicos dos Salmos, sem compreender que a missão de Cristo não era tomar o poder político de Roma, mas morrer para resgatar a humanidade — destino que ele próprio já havia anunciado aos discípulos.
Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion!
Shout in triumph, daughter of Jerusalem!
Behold, your king is coming to you;
He is righteous and endowed with salvation,
Humble, and mounted on a donkey,
Even on a colt, the foal of a donkey.(Zechariah 9:9)
Now the crowds going ahead of Him, and those who followed, were shouting,
"Hosanna to the Son of David;
Blessed is the One who comes in the name of the Lord;
Hosanna in the highest!"(Matthew 21:9)
Please, O Lord, do save us;
Please, O Lord, do send prosperity!
Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord;
We have blessed you from the house of the Lord.(Psalm 118:25,26)
"Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn Him to death,and they will hand Him over to the Gentiles to mock and flog and crucify, and on the third day He will be raised up."(Matthew 20:18,19)
A condenação e a entrega na cruz
A crucificação de Jesus ocorreu durante a celebração da Páscoa judaica. No jardim do Getsêmani, Jesus enfrentou a angústia da morte iminente e submeteu sua vontade ao Pai. Preso, foi escarnecido pelos soldados com um manto de púrpura e uma coroa de espinhos, além de receber uma placa sobre a cabeça com a acusação: "Este é Jesus, o Rei dos Judeus". Na cruz, ele não teve a vida tirada à força; entregou voluntariamente o seu espírito ao declarar que a obra de redenção estava consumada.
And He was saying, "Abba! Father! All things are possible for You; remove this cup from Me; yet not what I will, but what You will."(Mark 14:36)
And they stripped Him and put a red cloak on Him. And after twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and put a reed in His right hand; and they knelt down before Him and mocked Him, saying, "Hail, King of the Jews!"(Matthew 27:28,29)
And above His head they put up the charge against Him which read, "THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS."(Matthew 27:37)
Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.(John 19:30)
And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said, "Father, into Your hands I entrust My spirit." And having said this, He died.(Luke 23:46)
O túmulo vazio e a ressurreição
A mensagem central da Páscoa não termina na sepultura. No primeiro dia da semana, as mulheres que foram ungir o corpo de Jesus encontraram a pedra removida e o túmulo vazio. O anúncio angelical confirmou o cumprimento do que o próprio Cristo havia ensinado: a morte não pôde retê-lo. A ressurreição corporal de Jesus é a base histórica e teológica da esperança cristã, garantindo que o poder do pecado e da morte foi definitivamente quebrado.
And the angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified. He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying.(Matthew 28:5,6)
But he *said to them, "Do not be amazed; you are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen; He is not here; see, here is the place where they laid Him.(Mark 16:6)
He is not here, but He has risen. Remember how He spoke to you while He was still in Galilee, saying that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise from the dead."(Luke 24:6,7)
So the other disciple who had first come to the tomb also entered then, and he saw and believed. For they did not yet understand the Scripture, that He must rise from the dead.(John 20:8,9)
