Pecado

Por Bíblia Online

O pecado é a realidade que separa a humanidade de Deus. Mas a Bíblia também revela a solução: o sangue de Cristo que nos purifica e a graça que nos liberta de toda condenação.

A universalidade do pecado

Todos pecaram e carecem da glória de Deus. Não há justo, nem sequer um. O pecado entrou no mundo por um homem, mas a graça veio por Jesus.

since all have sinned and continually fall short of the glory of God,

since all have sinned and continually fall short of the glory of God, and are being justified [declared free of the guilt of sin, made acceptable to God, and granted eternal life] as a gift by His [precious, undeserved] grace, through the redemption [the payment for our sin] which is [provided] in Christ Jesus,

For no person will be justified [freed of guilt and declared righteous] in His sight by [trying to do] the works of the Law. For through the Law we become conscious of sin [and the recognition of sin directs us toward repentance, but provides no remedy for sin].

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God [that is, His remarkable, overwhelming gift of grace to believers] is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

For we all have become like one who is [ceremonially] unclean [like a leper],

And all our deeds of righteousness are like filthy rags;

We all wither and decay like a leaf,

And our wickedness [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing], like the wind, takes us away [carrying us far from God’s favor, toward destruction]. [Lev 13:45, 46]

Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness [ignoring God’s law by action or neglect or by tolerating wrongdoingbeing unrestrained by His commands and His will].

Liberdade da condenação

Não há condenação para os que estão em Cristo Jesus. Ele nos libertou da lei do pecado e da morte para vivermos em novidade de vida.

Escape from Bondage

Therefore there is now no condemnation [no guilty verdict, no punishment] for those who are in Christ Jesus [who believe in Him as personal Lord and Savior]. [John 3:18] For the law of the Spirit of life [which is] in Christ Jesus [the law of our new being] has set you free from the law of sin and of death.

Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its lusts and passions. Do not go on offering members of your body to sin as instruments of wickedness. But offer yourselves to God [in a decisive act] as those alive [raised] from the dead [to a new life], and your members [all of your abilitiessanctified, set apart] as instruments of righteousness [yielded] to God. For sin will no longer be a master over you, since you are not under Law [as slaves], but under [unmerited] grace [as recipients of God’s favor and mercy].

What then [are we to conclude]? Shall we sin because we are not under Law, but under [God’s] grace? Certainly not! Do you not know that when you continually offer yourselves to someone to do his will, you are the slaves of the one whom you obey, either [slaves] of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness (right standing with God)? But thank God that though you were slaves of sin, you became obedient with all your heart to the standard of teaching in which you were instructed and to which you were committed. And having been set free from sin, you have become the slaves of righteousness [of conformity to God’s will and purpose].

What then [are we to conclude]? Shall we sin because we are not under Law, but under [God’s] grace? Certainly not!

The Conflict of Two Natures

We know that the Law is spiritual, but I am a creature of the flesh [worldly, self-reliantcarnal and unspiritual], sold into slavery to sin [and serving under its control]. For I do not understand my own actions [I am baffled and bewildered by them]. I do not practice what I want to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate [and yielding to my human nature, my worldlinessmy sinful capacity]. Now if I habitually do what I do not want to do, [that means] I agree with the Law, confessing that it is good (morally excellent). So now [if that is the case, then] it is no longer I who do it [the disobedient thing which I despise], but the sin [nature] which lives in me.

Jesus answered, "I assure you and most solemnly say to you, everyone who practices sin habitually is a slave of sin.

Confissão e perdão

Se confessarmos os nossos pecados, Deus é fiel e justo para nos perdoar e purificar de toda injustiça. A confissão liberta a alma.

If we say we have no sin [refusing to admit that we are sinners], we delude ourselves and the truth is not in us. [His word does not live in our hearts.] If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose].

If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose].

If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness [of sin], we lie and do not practice the truth;

A Contrite Sinner’s Prayer for Pardon.
To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David; when Nathan the prophet came to him after he had sinned with Bathsheba.

Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness;

According to the greatness of Your compassion blot out my transgressions.

Wash me thoroughly from my wickedness and guilt

And cleanse me from my sin.

Against You, You only, have I sinned

And done that which is evil in Your sight,

So that You are justified when You speak [Your sentence]

And faultless in Your judgment. [Rom 3:4]

I was brought forth in [a state of] wickedness;

In sin my mother conceived me [and from my beginning I, too, was sinful]. [John 3:6; Rom 5:12; Eph 2:3]

Behold, You desire truth in the innermost being,

And in the hidden part [of my heart] You will make me know wisdom.

Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean;

Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.

Make me hear joy and gladness and be satisfied;

Let the bones which You have broken rejoice.

Hide Your face from my sins

And blot out all my iniquities.

I acknowledged my sin to You,

And I did not hide my wickedness;

I said, "I will confess [all] my transgressions to the Lord";

And You forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah.

Blessedness of Forgiveness and of Trust in God.
A Psalm of David. A skillful #32:0 Meaning uncertain.song, or a didactic or reflective poem.

Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, favored by God] is he whose transgression is forgiven,

And whose sin is covered.

For Your name’s sake, O Lord,

Pardon my wickedness and my guilt, for they are great.

Remember, O Lord, Your [tender] compassion and Your lovingkindnesses,

For they have been from of old.

Do not remember the sins of my youth or my transgressions;

According to Your lovingkindness remember me,

For Your goodnesssake, O Lord.

Who can understand his errors or omissions? Acquit me of hidden (unconscious, unintended) faults.

He who conceals his transgressions will not prosper,

But whoever confesses and turns away from his sins will find compassion and mercy. [Ps 32:3, 5; 1 John 1:8-10]

Vencendo o pecado

Cristo nos resgatou e nos restaurou. Devemos mortificar as obras da carne, fugir do pecado e prosseguir em santidade.

He personally carried our sins in His body on the cross [willingly offering Himself on it, as on an altar of sacrifice], so that we might die to sin [becoming immune from the penalty and power of sin] and live for righteousness; for by His wounds you [who believe] have been healed.

She will give birth to a Son, and you shall name Him Jesus (The Lord is salvation), for He will save His people from their sins."

He made Christ who knew no sin to [judicially] be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we would become the righteousness of God [that is, we would be made acceptable to Him and placed in a right relationship with Him by His gracious lovingkindness].

so Christ, having been offered once and once for all to bear [as a burden] the sins of many, will appear a second time [when he returns to earth], not to deal with sin, but to bring salvation to those who are eagerly and confidently waiting for Him.

The one who practices sin [separating himself from God, and offending Him by acts of disobedience, indifference, or rebellion] is of the devil [and takes his inner character and moral values from him, not God]; for the devil has sinned and violated God’s law from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.

We know [with confidence] that anyone born of God does not habitually sin; but He (Jesus) who was born of God [carefully] keeps and protects him, and the evil one does not touch him.

So put to death and deprive of power the evil longings of your earthly body [with its sensual, self-centered instincts] immorality, impurity, sinful passion, evil desire, and greed, which is [a kind of] idolatry [because it replaces your devotion to God].

But sexual immorality and all [moral] impurity [indecent, offensive behavior] or greed must not even be hinted at among you, as is proper among saints [for as believers our way of life, whether in public or in private, reflects the validity of our faith].

Do not participate in the worthless and unproductive deeds of darkness, but instead expose them [by exemplifying personal integrity, moral courage, and godly character]; for it is disgraceful even to mention the things that such people practice in secret.

Be angry [at sinat immorality, at injustice, at ungodly behavior], yet do not sin; do not let your anger [cause you shame, nor allow it to] last until the sun goes down. [Ps 4:4]

Responsabilidade e restauração

O pecado tem consequências, mas Deus restaura o arrependido. Devemos corrigir uns aos outros com mansidão e cobrir o pecado com amor.

Bear One Another’s Burdens

Brothers, if anyone is caught in any sin, you who are spiritual [that is, you who are responsive to the guidance of the Spirit] are to restore such a person in a spirit of gentleness [not with a sense of superiority or self-righteousness], keeping a watchful eye on yourself, so that you are not tempted as well.

Carry one another’s burdens and in this way you will fulfill the requirements of the law of Christ [that is, the law of Christian love]. [John 13:34]

Discipline and Prayer

"If your brother sins, go and show him his fault in private; if he listens and pays attention to you, you have won back your brother.

Discipline and Prayer

"If your brother sins, go and show him his fault in private; if he listens and pays attention to you, you have won back your brother.

but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble and sin [by leading him away from My teaching], it would be better for him to have a heavy millstone [as large as one turned by a donkey] hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea. [Mark 9:42; Luke 17:2]

Why do you look at the [insignificant] speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice and acknowledge the [egregious] log that is in your own eye?

For if you forgive others their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins], your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

Therefore, confess your sins to one another [your false steps, your offenses], and pray for one another, that you may be healed and restored. The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) is able to accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by Godit is dynamic and can have tremendous power].

So any person who knows what is right to do but does not do it, to him it is sin.

Come close to God [with a contrite heart] and He will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; and purify your [unfaithful] hearts, you double-minded [people].

You adulteresses [disloyal sinnersflirting with the world and breaking your vow to God]! Do you not know that being the world’s friend [that is, loving the things of the world] is being God’s enemy? So whoever chooses to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

Out of the same mouth come both blessing and cursing. These things, my brothers, should not be this way [for we have a moral obligation to speak in a manner that reflects our fear of God and profound respect for His precepts].

Above all, have fervent and unfailing love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins [it overlooks unkindness and unselfishly seeks the best for others]. [Prov 10:12]

Fuga do pecado

Bem-aventurado o que não anda no conselho dos ímpios. O caminho do justo é guardado pelo Senhor, e sua Palavra nos protege da queda.

The Righteous and the Wicked Contrasted.

Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked [following their advice and example],

Nor stand in the path of sinners,

Nor sit [down to rest] in the seat of scoffers (ridiculers).

Establish my footsteps in [the way of] Your word;

Do not let any human weakness have power over me [causing me to be separated from You].

He who walks in integrity and with moral character walks securely,

But he who takes a crooked way will be discovered and punished.

The [intrinsically] good man produces what is good and honorable and moral out of the good treasure [stored] in his heart; and the [intrinsically] evil man produces what is wicked and depraved out of the evil [in his heart]; for his mouth speaks from the overflow of his heart.

Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor (perversely) effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers [whose words are used as weapons to abuse, insult, humiliate, intimidate, or slander], nor swindlers will inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God.

Then Pilate came out again and said to them, "Look, I am bringing Him out to you so that you may know that I find no guilt in Him [no crime, no cause for an accusation]." So Jesus came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe, and Pilate said to them, "Look! The Man!" When the chief priests and officers saw Him, they shouted, "Crucify [Him]! Crucify [Him]!" Pilate said to them, "Take Him yourselves and crucify Him, for I find no guilt in Him [no crime, no cause for an accusation]." [Luke 23:4, 14, 22; John 18:38; 19:4]

If you forgive the sins of anyone they are forgiven [because of their faith]; if you retain the sins of anyone, they are retained [and remain unforgiven because of their unbelief]."

If you do well [believing Me and doing what is acceptable and pleasing to Me], will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well [but ignore My instruction], sin crouches at your door; its desire is for you [to overpower you], but you must master it."
