Planejamento

Oh! Teach us to live well!

Teach us to live wisely and well!

Come back, Godhow long do we have to wait?

and treat your servants with kindness for a change.

Surprise us with love at daybreak;

then we’ll skip and dance all the day long.

Make up for the bad times with some good times;

we’ve seen enough evil to last a lifetime.

Let your servants see what you’re best at

the ways you rule and bless your children.

And let the loveliness of our Lord, our God, rest on us,

confirming the work that we do.

Oh, yes. Affirm the work that we do!

"Is there anyone here who, planning to build a new house, doesn’t first sit down and figure the cost so you’ll know if you can complete it? If you only get the foundation laid and then run out of money, you’re going to look pretty foolish. Everyone passing by will poke fun at you: He started something he couldn’t finish.

Refuse good advice and watch your plans fail;

take good counsel and watch them succeed.

Put God in charge of your work,

then what you’ve planned will take place.

Don’t wear yourself out trying to get rich;

restrain yourself!

Riches disappear in the blink of an eye;

wealth sprouts wings

and flies off into the wild blue yonder.

Deus dirige os passos

O coração do homem planeja, mas a resposta certa vem do Senhor. Seus caminhos são mais altos que os nossos, e seus planos prevalecem.

We plan the way we want to live,

but only God makes us able to live it.

We humans keep brainstorming options and plans,

but Gods purpose prevails.

"I don’t think the way you think.

The way you work isn’t the way I work."

Gods Decree.

"For as the sky soars high above earth,

so the way I work surpasses the way you work,

and the way I think is beyond the way you think.

Just as rain and snow descend from the skies

and don’t go back until they’ve watered the earth,

Doing their work of making things grow and blossom,

producing seed for farmers and food for the hungry,

So will the words that come out of my mouth

not come back empty-handed.

They’ll do the work I sent them to do,

they’ll complete the assignment I gave them.

"I don’t think the way you think.

Gods Decree.

"For as the sky soars high above earth,

and the way I think is beyond the way you think.

Just as rain and snow descend from the skies

Doing their work of making things grow and blossom,

not come back empty-handed.

They’ll do the work I sent them to do,

they’ll complete the assignment I gave them.

And at the harvest, the delicate herbs and spices,

the dill and cumin, are treated delicately.

On the other hand, wheat is threshed and milled, but still not endlessly.

The farmer knows how to treat each kind of grain.

He’s learned it all from God-of-the-Angel-Armies,

who knows everything about when and how and where.

Confiança no plano de Deus

Os planos do Senhor são de paz e esperança. Ele revela seus segredos aos seus servos e guia com fidelidade cada caminho confiado a Ele.

This is Gods Word on the subject: "As soon as Babylon’s seventy years are up and not a day before, I’ll show up and take care of you as I promised and bring you back home. I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned outplans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.

Do two people walk hand in hand

if they aren’t going to the same place?

Does a lion roar in the forest

if there’s no carcass to devour?

Does a young lion growl with pleasure

if he hasn’t caught his supper?

Does a bird fall to the ground

if it hasn’t been hit with a stone?

Does a trap spring shut

if nothing trips it?

When the alarm goes off in the city,

aren’t people alarmed?

And when disaster strikes the city,

doesn’t God stand behind it?

The fact is, God, the Master, does nothing

without first telling his prophets the whole story.

God answer you on the day you crash,

The name God-of-Jacob put you out of harm’s reach,

Send reinforcements from Holy Hill,

Dispatch from Zion fresh supplies,

Exclaim over your offerings,

Celebrate your sacrifices,

Give you what your heart desires,

Accomplish your plans.

Hurry with your answer, God!

I’m nearly at the end of my rope.

Don’t turn away; don’t ignore me!

That would be certain death.

If you wake me each morning with the sound of your loving voice,

I’ll go to sleep each night trusting in you.

Point out the road I must travel;

I’m all ears, all eyes before you.

Save me from my enemies, God

you’re my only hope!

Teach me how to live to please you,

because you’re my God.

Lead me by your blessed Spirit

into cleared and level pastureland.

There’s a Right Time for Everything

There’s an opportune time to do things, a right time for everything on the earth:

We, of course, have plenty of wisdom to pass on to you once you get your feet on firm spiritual ground, but it’s not popular wisdom, the fashionable wisdom of high-priced experts that will be out-of-date in a year or so. God’s wisdom is something mysterious that goes deep into the interior of his purposes. You don’t find it lying around on the surface. It’s not the latest message, but more like the oldestwhat God determined as the way to bring out his best in us, long before we ever arrived on the scene. The experts of our day haven’t a clue about what this eternal plan is. If they had, they wouldn’t have killed the Master of the God-designed life on a cross. That’s why we have this Scripture text:

No one’s ever seen or heard anything like this,

Never so much as imagined anything quite like it

What God has arranged for those who love him.

But you’ve seen and heard it because God by his Spirit has brought it all out into the open before you.

The Spirit, not content to flit around on the surface, dives into the depths of God, and brings out what God planned all along. Who ever knows what you’re thinking and planning except you yourself? The same with Godexcept that he not only knows what he’s thinking, but he lets us in on it. God offers a full report on the gifts of life and salvation that he is giving us. We don’t have to rely on the world’s guesses and opinions. We didn’t learn this by reading books or going to school; we learned it from God, who taught us person-to-person through Jesus, and we’re passing it on to you in the same firsthand, personal way.

Don’t walk around with a chip on your shoulder,

always spoiling for a fight.

Don’t try to be like those who shoulder their way through life.

Why be a bully?

"Why not?" you say. Because God can’t stand twisted souls.

It’s the straightforward who get his respect.
