Poder de decisão
Deus nos deu o poder de escolher. A Bíblia mostra que nossas decisões têm consequências eternas e nos chama a escolher sabiamente — a vida, a fé e o caminho de Deus.
A responsabilidade de escolher
Escolhei hoje a quem servireis. Cada decisão molda nosso destino, e Deus nos convida a escolher o caminho da vida e da obediência.
15 And if it seems evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that [were] on the other side of the river or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
22 And Joshua said unto the people, Ye [shall be] witnesses against yourselves that ye have chosen the LORD, to serve him. And they said, We [shall be] witnesses.
30 Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, each one according to his ways, said the Lord GOD. Repent and turn [yourselves] from all your iniquities, so iniquity shall not be your ruin.31 Cast away from you all your iniquities by which ye have rebelled, and make yourselves a new heart and a new spirit; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?32 For I do not desire the death of him that dies, said the Lord GOD; therefore turn [yourselves], and ye shall live.:
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot; I would thou wert cold or hot.16 So then because thou art lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Decisões e consequências
Deus retribuirá a cada um segundo as suas obras. As Escrituras nos alertam que a mornidão espiritual e a resistência ao Espírito têm consequências sérias.
6 who will render to everyone according to his deeds:7 to those who persevered in well doing, glory and honour and incorruption, to those who seek eternal life;8 but unto those that are contentious and do not obey the truth, but are persuaded by unrighteousness, indignation and wrath.
51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Spirit; as your fathers [did], so [do] ye.
35 Do not lose, therefore, this your confidence, which has great recompense of reward;36 for patience is necessary, so that after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come and will not tarry.38 Now the just shall live by faith, but if [any man] draws back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.39 But we are not of those who draw back unto perdition, but faithful unto the saving of the soul.:
Decisão e fé
Decida com fé, entregue seus planos ao Senhor e aja com determinação. Deus guia os passos de quem se achega a Ele de coração.
33 The lot is cast into the lap, but the judgment thereof [is] of the LORD.:
21 [There are] many thoughts in the heart of man; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD shall stand.
3 Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.
7 For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore, I was not ashamed; therefore, I have set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.
17 If anyone desires to do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it is of God or [whether] I speak of myself.
38 and they shall be my people, and I will be their God:39 and I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me for ever for the good of them and of their sons after them:
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent and be baptized each one of you into the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
7 Submit yourselves, therefore, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.8 Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse [your] hands, [ye] sinners; and purify [your] hearts, [ye] double minded.
