Poder de decisão
Deus nos deu o poder de escolher. A Bíblia mostra que nossas decisões têm consequências eternas e nos chama a escolher sabiamente — a vida, a fé e o caminho de Deus.
A responsabilidade de escolher
Escolhei hoje a quem servireis. Cada decisão molda nosso destino, e Deus nos convida a escolher o caminho da vida e da obediência.
and if [it is] wrong in your eyes to serve YHWH—choose for yourselves today whom you serve—whether the gods whom your fathers served, which [are] beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorite in whose land you are dwelling; but me and my house—we serve YHWH."
And Joshua says to the people, "You are witnesses against yourselves, that you have chosen YHWH for yourselves, to serve Him," and they say, "Witnesses!"
Therefore, I judge each according to his ways, || O house of Israel," || A declaration of Lord YHWH, || "Turn back, indeed, turn yourselves back, || From all your transgressions, || And iniquity is not for a stumbling-block to you, Cast away all your transgressions from over you, || By which you have transgressed, || And make a new heart and a new spirit for yourselves, || And why do you die, || O house of Israel? For I have no pleasure in the death of the dying," || A declaration of Lord YHWH, || "Therefore turn back and live!"
I have known your works, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish you were cold or hot. So—because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I am about to vomit you out of My mouth;
Decisões e consequências
Deus retribuirá a cada um segundo as suas obras. As Escrituras nos alertam que a mornidão espiritual e a resistência ao Espírito têm consequências sérias.
who will render to each according to his works; to those, indeed, who in continuance of a good work, seek glory, and honor, and incorruptibility—continuous life; and to those contentious, and disobedient, indeed, to the truth, and obeying the unrighteousness—indignation and wrath,
You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and in ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit; as your fathers—also you;
You may not cast away, then, your boldness, which has great repayment of reward, for you have need of patience, that having done the will of God, you may receive the promise. "For yet [in] a very, very little [while], He who is coming will come, and will not linger," but, "The righteous will live by faith; and if he may draw back, My soul has no pleasure in him." But we are not of those drawing back to destruction, but of those believing to a preserving of soul.
Decisão e fé
Decida com fé, entregue seus planos ao Senhor e aja com determinação. Deus guia os passos de quem se achega a Ele de coração.
The lot is cast into the center, || And all its judgment [is] from YHWH!
The purposes in a man’s heart [are] many, || And the counsel of YHWH—it stands.
Roll your works to YHWH, || And your purposes are established,
And Lord YHWH gives help to Me, || Therefore I have not been ashamed, || Therefore I have set My face as a flint, || And I know that I am not ashamed.
if anyone may will to do His will, he will know concerning the teaching, whether it is of God, or—[if] I speak from Myself.
and they have been to Me for a people, and I am to them for God; and I have given to them one heart and one way, to fear Me all the days, for the good of them and their sons after them:
And Peter said to them, "Convert, and each of you be immersed on the Name of Jesus Christ, for forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit,
Be subject, then, to God; stand up against the Devil, and he will flee from you; draw near to God, and He will draw near to you; cleanse hands, you sinners! And purify hearts, you split-souled!
