8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

7 For God did not give us a spirit of timidity but one of power, love, and self-discipline.

19 Look! I have given you the authority to trample snakes and scorpions and to destroyall the enemy's power, and nothing will ever hurt you.

12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword, piercing until it divides soul and spirit, joints and marrow, as it judges the thoughts and purposes of the heart.

20 for the kingdom of God isn't just talk but power.

17 "These are the signs that will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues;18 they will pick up snakes in their hands;even if they drink any deadly poison it will not hurt them; and they will place their hands on the sick, and they will recover."

12 "Truly, truly I tell you, the one who believes in me will also do the works that I am doing. He will do even greater works than these because I am going to the Father.

13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty strength.

11 You are being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might, so that you might patiently endure everything with joy

7 Therefore, submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will run away from you.

39 Then he got up, rebuked the wind, and said to the sea,"Hush! Be still!" Then the wind stopped blowing, and there was a great calm.40 He said to them,"Why are you such cowards? Don't you have any faith yet?"41 They were overcome with fear and kept saying to one another, "Who is this man? Even the wind and the sea obey him!"
