Gravidez e maternidade são bênçãos celebradas na Bíblia. Deus forma cada criança no ventre, cuida da mãe e da família, e abençoa a geração dos justos.
Filhos são herança do Senhor
Deus abençoa a fertilidade e o crescimento das famílias. Cada criança é obra de suas mãos, conhecida e amada antes mesmo de nascer.
You will be blessed more than any other nation; none of you will be childless, and none of your livestock will fail to have young.
However, the Israelites had many children and their numbers increased rapidly. In fact there were so many of them that they became very powerful—the country was full of them.
Their descendants will prosper in the land; the children of those who do good will be blessed.
You made me from the inside out, shaping me in my mother's womb.
I praise you for making me in such an awesome and wonderful way. What you do is incredible—I realize this completely!
My growing body was not hidden from you as I was formed in secret, as I was intricately put together "in the depths of the earth."
You saw me as an embryo, and in your book all my days were written down—the days that were made for me before any of them existed.
Children certainly are a gift from the Lord, for a family is a blessing.
Would I bring a baby to the point of birth and then not deliver it? the Lord asks. Would I who deliver the baby stop it from being born? the Lord asks again.
Força e cuidado na gravidez
Deus dá forças à mulher grávida e a sustenta em cada etapa. Sua graça é suficiente e seu poder se aperfeiçoa na fraqueza.
I can do anything through him who makes me strong!
But he told me, "My grace is all you will need, for my power is effective in weakness." That's why I happily boast about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may reside in me.
Please listen to me, and be quick to rescue me. Be my rock of protection, my strong fortress of safety.
From this distant place, far from home, I cry out to you as my courage fails. Take me to a rock high above me where I will be safe,
He looks after his flock like a shepherd. He picks up the lambs in his arms and holds them close to his chest. He leads those that are nursing young.
Listen to me, descendants of Jacob, all those who are left of the people of Israel. I have looked after you since you were born, carrying you from birth. Even when you're old, I will still be your God; even when your hair turns white, I will still support you. I made you, I will carry you, I will support you, and I will save you.
A bênção da maternidade
A Bíblia honra a maternidade como ministério sagrado. As mães são instrumentos de Deus para formar vidas e transmitir a fé.
However, women will be saved through becoming mothers, as long as they continue to trust and love, and to live holy, sensible lives.
Her children are quick to bless her. Her husband praises her too, saying,
Adam slept with his wife Eve and she became pregnant. She gave birth to Cain, and said, "With the Lord's help I have made a man."
The Lord came to help Sarah as he'd said he would. The Lord did for Sarah what he'd promised. She became pregnant and had a son for Abraham when he was old, at the exact time God said she would.
Isaac prayed to the Lord for help on behalf of his wife because she couldn't have children. The Lord answered his prayer and she became pregnant.
In due course she became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel, saying, "Because I asked the Lord for him."
Proteção divina
Deus protege a mãe e o bebê, guardando-os de todo mal. Ele acompanha cada momento com ternura e fidelidade.
Those who live under the protection of the Most High are kept safe by the Almighty.
This is what I say about the Lord: "He is the one who defends and protects me. He is my God, and I trust in him."
The Lord will protect you from all kinds of evil; he will keep you safe and sound.
The Lord will look after you when you leave, and when you return, now and forever.
"I knew exactly who you would be before I created you in your mother's womb; I chose you before you were born to be a prophet to the nations."
If men who are fighting happen to hit a pregnant woman so she gives birth prematurely, but no serious injury occurs, he must be fined whatever amount the woman's husband demands and as permitted by the judges. But if a serious injury does occur, then you must pay a life for a life,
Really? Can a mother forget her nursing baby? Can she forget to be kind to the child she carried in her womb? Even if she could forget, I will never forget you!
Esperança e promessa
A maternidade é caminho de esperança. Como Sara, Ana e Isabel, as mães encontram na fé a força para aguardar as promessas de Deus.
By her trust in God even Sarah herself was given the ability to conceive a child though she was too old, because she trusted God who had made the promise.
How fortunate you are, because you are convinced that the Lord will do what he has promised you!"
Mary replied, "How I praise the Lord! I am so happy with God my Savior, because he decided that I, his servant, was worthy of his consideration, despite my humble background. From now on every generation will say I was blessed. God Almighty has done great things for me; his name is holy.
He makes the childless woman happy in her home by giving her children. Praise the Lord!
I will bless her and I promise to give you a son by her. I will bless her so that she will become the mother of nations, and kings will be among her descendants."
Your wife will be like a fruitful vine growing in your home. Your children will be like the shoots of an olive tree around your table.
