Gravidez e maternidade são bênçãos celebradas na Bíblia. Deus forma cada criança no ventre, cuida da mãe e da família, e abençoa a geração dos justos.
Filhos são herança do Senhor
Deus abençoa a fertilidade e o crescimento das famílias. Cada criança é obra de suas mãos, conhecida e amada antes mesmo de nascer.
Blessed are you above all the peoples; there is not a barren man or a barren woman in you—nor among your livestock;
and the sons of Israel have been fruitful, and they teem, and multiply, and are very, very mighty, and the land is filled with them.
His seed is mighty in the earth, || The generation of the upright is blessed.
For You have possessed my reins, || You cover me in my mother’s belly. I confess You, because I have been fearfully distinguished. Your works [are] wonderful, || And my soul is knowing [it] well. My substance was not hid from You, || When I was made in secret, || Curiously worked in the lower part of earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance, || And all of them are written on Your scroll, || The days they were formed—And not one among them.
Behold, sons [are] an inheritance of YHWH, || The fruit of the womb [is] a reward.
Do I bring to the birth, || And not cause to bring forth?" says YHWH, || "Am I not He who is causing to beget? I have also restrained," said your God.
Força e cuidado na gravidez
Deus dá forças à mulher grávida e a sustenta em cada etapa. Sua graça é suficiente e seu poder se aperfeiçoa na fraqueza.
I have strength for all things, in Christ’s strengthening me;
and He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness"; most gladly, therefore, will I rather boast in my weaknesses, that the power of the Christ may rest on me:
Incline Your ear to me quickly, deliver me, || Be to me for a strong rock, || For a house of bulwarks to save me.
I call to You from the end of the land, || In the feebleness of my heart, || You lead me into a rock higher than I.
He feeds His flock as a shepherd, || He gathers lambs with His arm, || And He carries [them] in His bosom: He leads suckling ones.
"Listen to Me, O house of Jacob, || And all the remnant of Israel, || Who are borne from the belly, || Who are carried from the womb, Even to old age, I [am] He, and to grey hairs I carry, || I made, and I bear, indeed, I carry and deliver.
A bênção da maternidade
A Bíblia honra a maternidade como ministério sagrado. As mães são instrumentos de Deus para formar vidas e transmitir a fé.
and she will be saved through the childbearing, if they remain in faith, and love, and sanctification, with sobriety.
Her sons have risen up, and pronounce her blessed, || Her husband, and he praises her,
And the man knew his wife Eve, and she conceives and bears Cain, and says, "I have acquired a man by YHWH";
And YHWH has looked after Sarah as He has said, and YHWH does to Sarah as He has spoken; and Sarah conceives, and bears a son to Abraham, to his old age, at the appointed time that God has spoken of with him;
And Isaac makes plea to YHWH before his wife, for she [is] barren: and YHWH accepts his plea, and his wife Rebekah conceives,
and it comes to pass, at the revolution of the days, that Hannah conceives, and bears a son, and calls his name Samuel, for, "I have asked for him from YHWH."
Proteção divina
Deus protege a mãe e o bebê, guardando-os de todo mal. Ele acompanha cada momento com ternura e fidelidade.
He who is dwelling || In the secret place of the Most High, || Habitually lodges in the shade of the Mighty, He is saying of YHWH, "My refuge, and my bulwark, my God, I trust in Him,"
YHWH preserves you from all evil, || He preserves your soul. YHWH preserves your going out and your coming in, || From now on—even for all time!
"Before I form you in the belly, I have known you; and before you come forth from the womb I have separated you; I have made you a prophet to the nations."
And when men strive, and have struck a pregnant woman, and her children have come out, and there is no harm [to them], he is certainly fined as the husband of the woman lays on him, and he has given through the judges; and if there is harm [to them], then you have given life for life,
"Does a woman forget her suckling, || The loved one—the son of her womb? Indeed, these forget—but I do not forget you.
Esperança e promessa
A maternidade é caminho de esperança. Como Sara, Ana e Isabel, as mães encontram na fé a força para aguardar as promessas de Deus.
And by faith Sarah, herself barren, received power to conceive seed even after the time of life, seeing she judged Him who promised faithful;
and blessed [is] she who believed, for there will be a completion to the things spoken to her from the LORD."
And Mary said, "My soul magnifies the LORD, And my spirit was glad on God my Savior, Because He looked on the lowliness of His maidservant, || For behold, from now on all the generations will call me blessed, For He who is mighty did great things to me, || And holy [is] His Name,
Causing the barren one of the house to sit, || A joyful mother of sons; praise YAH!
and I have blessed her, and have also given to you a son from her; and I have blessed her, and she has become nations—kings of peoples are from her."
Your wife [is] as a fruitful vine in the sides of your house, || Your sons as olive plants around your table.
