Gravidez e maternidade são bênçãos celebradas na Bíblia. Deus forma cada criança no ventre, cuida da mãe e da família, e abençoa a geração dos justos.
Filhos são herança do Senhor
Deus abençoa a fertilidade e o crescimento das famílias. Cada criança é obra de suas mãos, conhecida e amada antes mesmo de nascer.
14 You shall be blessed above all peoples; there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle.
7 But the descendants of Israel were fruitful and increased greatly; they multiplied and grew exceedingly strong; so that the land was filled with them.
2 His descendants will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.
13 even the darkness is not dark to thee, the night is bright as the day; for darkness is as light with thee.14 For thou didst form my inward parts, thou didst knit me together in my mother's womb.15 I praise thee, for thou art fearful and wonderful. Wonderful are thy works! Thou knowest me right well;16 my frame was not hidden from thee, when I was being made in secret, intricately wrought in the depths of the earth.
3 It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives to his beloved sleep.
9 Shall I bring to the birth and not cause to bring forth? says the LORD; shall I, who cause to bring forth, shut the womb? says your God.
Força e cuidado na gravidez
Deus dá forças à mulher grávida e a sustenta em cada etapa. Sua graça é suficiente e seu poder se aperfeiçoa na fraqueza.
13 I can do all things in him who strengthens me.
9 but he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." I will all the more gladly boast of my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
2 In thee, O LORD, do I seek refuge; let me never be put to shame; in thy righteousness deliver me!
2 Hear my cry, O God, listen to my prayer;
11 He will feed his flock like a shepherd, he will gather the lambs in his arms, he will carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those that are with young.
3 "Hearken to me, O house of Jacob, all the remnant of the house of Israel, who have been borne by me from your birth, carried from the womb;4 even to your old age I am He, and to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save.
A bênção da maternidade
A Bíblia honra a maternidade como ministério sagrado. As mães são instrumentos de Deus para formar vidas e transmitir a fé.
15 Yet woman will be saved through bearing children, if she continues in faith and love and holiness, with modesty.
28 Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:
1 Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain, saying, "I have gotten a man with the help of the LORD."
1 The LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did to Sarah as he had promised.2 And Sarah conceived, and bore Abraham a son in his old age at the time of which God had spoken to him.
21 And Isaac prayed to the LORD for his wife, because she was barren; and the LORD granted his prayer, and Rebekah his wife conceived.
20 and in due time Hannah conceived and bore a son, and she called his name Samuel, for she said, "I have asked him of the LORD."
Proteção divina
Deus protege a mãe e o bebê, guardando-os de todo mal. Ele acompanha cada momento com ternura e fidelidade.
1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High, who abides in the shadow of the Almighty,2 will say to the LORD, "My refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust."
7 The sun shall not smite you by day, nor the moon by night.8 The LORD will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. [ (Psalms 121:9) The LORD will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and for evermore. ]
5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations."
22 "When men strive together, and hurt a woman with child, so that there is a miscarriage, and yet no harm follows, the one who hurt her shall be fined, according as the woman's husband shall lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.23 If any harm follows, then you shall give life for life,
15 "Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you.
Esperança e promessa
A maternidade é caminho de esperança. Como Sara, Ana e Isabel, as mães encontram na fé a força para aguardar as promessas de Deus.
11 By faith Sarah herself received power to conceive, even when she was past the age, since she considered him faithful who had promised.
45 And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfilment of what was spoken to her from the Lord."
46 And Mary said, "My soul magnifies the Lord,47 and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,48 for he has regarded the low estate of his handmaiden. For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed;49 for he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name.
9 He gives the barren woman a home, making her the joyous mother of children. Praise the LORD!
16 I will bless her, and moreover I will give you a son by her; I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of peoples shall come from her."
3 You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands; you shall be happy, and it shall be well with you.
