Preservação das escrituras
A Palavra de Deus permanece para sempre. As Escrituras foram preservadas por Deus ao longo dos milênios para instrução, consolação e guia de todas as gerações.
A Palavra eterna
Céus e terra passarão, mas as palavras de Deus jamais passarão. Sua Palavra é eterna, infalível e imutável — a verdade que sustenta tudo.
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
Remember that as long as heaven and earth last, not the least point nor the smallest detail of the Law will be done away with—not until the end of all things.
Yes, grass withers and flowers fade,
but the word of our God endures forever."
As the scripture says,
"All human beings are like grass,
and all their glory is like wild flowers.
The grass withers, and the flowers fall,
but the word of the Lord remains forever."
This word is the Good News that was proclaimed to you.
For through the living and eternal word of God you have been born again as the children of a parent who is immortal, not mortal. As the scripture says,
"All human beings are like grass,
and all their glory is like wild flowers.
The grass withers, and the flowers fall,
but the word of the Lord remains forever."
This word is the Good News that was proclaimed to you.
A inspiração divina
Toda Escritura é inspirada por Deus. Homens santos falaram da parte do Senhor, e a Palavra escrita é a expressão fiel da vontade divina.
Above all else, however, remember that none of us can explain by ourselves a prophecy in the Scriptures. For no prophetic message ever came just from the human will, but people were under the control of the Holy Spirit as they spoke the message that came from God.
God’s Word through His Son
In the past God spoke to our ancestors many times and in many ways through the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us through his Son. He is the one through whom God created the universe, the one whom God has chosen to possess all things at the end. He reflects the brightness of God’s glory and is the exact likeness of God’s own being, sustaining the universe with his powerful word. After achieving forgiveness for the sins of all human beings, he sat down in heaven at the right side of God, the Supreme Power.
The Word became a human being and, full of grace and truth, lived among us. We saw his glory, the glory which he received as the Father’s only Son.
I know that everything God does will last forever. You can’t add anything to it or take anything away from it. And one thing God does is to make us stand in awe of him.
A Palavra como guia e tesouro
A Palavra de Deus é lâmpada para os pés, espada do Espírito e tesouro para o coração. Guardá-la e meditá-la nos protege do pecado.
I keep your law in my heart,
so that I will not sin against you.
God’s Glory in Creation#HEBREW TITLE: A psalm by David.
How clearly the sky reveals God’s glory!
How plainly it shows what he has done!
Each day announces it to the following day;
each night repeats it to the next.
No speech or words are used,
no sound is heard;
yet their message goes out to all the world
and is heard to the ends of the earth.
God made a home in the sky for the sun;
it comes out in the morning like a happy bridegroom,
like an athlete eager to run a race.
It starts at one end of the sky
and goes across to the other.
Nothing can hide from its heat.
The Law of the Lord
The law of the Lord is perfect;
it gives new strength.
The commands of the Lord are trustworthy,
giving wisdom to those who lack it.
The laws of the Lord are right,
and those who obey them are happy.
The commands of the Lord are just
and give understanding to the mind.
The promises of the Lord can be trusted;
they are as genuine as silver
refined seven times in the furnace.
The wicked are everywhere,
and everyone praises what is evil.
Keep us always safe, O Lord,
and preserve us from such people.
What it says is this: "God’s message is near you, on your lips and in your heart"—that is, the message of faith that we preach.
So then, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message comes through preaching Christ.
But I ask: Is it true that they did not hear the message? Of course they did—for as the scripture says:
"The sound of their voice went out to all the world;
their words reached the ends of the earth."
Everything written in the Scriptures was written to teach us, in order that we might have hope through the patience and encouragement which the Scriptures give us.
Never forget these commands that I am giving you today. Teach them to your children. Repeat them when you are at home and when you are away, when you are resting and when you are working. Tie them on your arms and wear them on your foreheads as a reminder. Write them on the doorposts of your houses and on your gates.
Yes, may you come to know his love—although it can never be fully known—and so be completely filled with the very nature of God.
This is good and it pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to come to know the truth.
