Preservação das escrituras
A Palavra de Deus permanece para sempre. As Escrituras foram preservadas por Deus ao longo dos milênios para instrução, consolação e guia de todas as gerações.
A Palavra eterna
Céus e terra passarão, mas as palavras de Deus jamais passarão. Sua Palavra é eterna, infalível e imutável — a verdade que sustenta tudo.
The heaven and the earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.
for truly I say to you, until the heaven and the earth may pass away, one iota or one tittle may not pass away from the Law, until all may come to pass.
Grass has withered, the flower faded, || But a word of our God rises forever.
because all flesh [is] as grass, and all glory of man as flower of grass; the grass withered, and the flower of it fell away, but the saying of the LORD remains—throughout the age; and this is the saying of good news that was proclaimed to you.
being begotten again, not out of corruptible seed, but incorruptible, through a word of God—living and remaining—throughout the age; because all flesh [is] as grass, and all glory of man as flower of grass; the grass withered, and the flower of it fell away, but the saying of the LORD remains—throughout the age; and this is the saying of good news that was proclaimed to you.
A inspiração divina
Toda Escritura é inspirada por Deus. Homens santos falaram da parte do Senhor, e a Palavra escrita é a expressão fiel da vontade divina.
knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Writing comes of private exposition, for prophecy never came by [the] will of man, but men spoke from God, being brought by the Holy Spirit.
In many parts and many ways, God, having spoken long ago to the fathers by the prophets, in these last days speaks to us in [His] Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom He also made the ages; who being the brightness of the glory, and the impress of His subsistence, bearing up also all things by the saying of His might—having made a cleansing of our sins through Himself, sat down at the right hand of the Greatness in the highest,
And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of [the] only begotten of [the] Father, full of grace and truth.
I have known that all that God does is for all time, to it nothing is to be added, and from it nothing is to be withdrawn; and God has worked that they fear before Him.
A Palavra como guia e tesouro
A Palavra de Deus é lâmpada para os pés, espada do Espírito e tesouro para o coração. Guardá-la e meditá-la nos protege do pecado.
I have hid Your saying in my heart, || That I do not sin before You.
TO THE OVERSEER. A PSALM OF DAVID. The heavens [are] recounting the glory of God, || And the expanse [is] declaring the work of His hands. Day to day utters speech, || And night to night shows knowledge. There is no speech, and there are no words. Their voice has not been heard. Their line has gone forth into all the earth, || And their sayings to the end of the world, || In them He placed a tent for the sun, And he, as a bridegroom, goes out from his covering, || He rejoices as a mighty one || To run the path. From the end of the heavens [is] his going out, || And his revolution [is] to their ends, || And nothing is hid from his heat. The law of YHWH [is] perfect, refreshing the soul, || The testimonies of YHWH [are] steadfast, || Making the simple wise, The precepts of YHWH [are] upright, || Rejoicing the heart, || The command of YHWH [is] pure, enlightening the eyes,
Sayings of YHWH [are] pure sayings—Silver tried in a furnace of earth, refined sevenfold. You, O YHWH, preserve them, || You keep us from this generation for all time.
But what does it say? "The saying is near you—in your mouth, and in your heart": that is, the saying of the faith that we preach;
So then faith [is] by a report, and the report through a saying of God, but I say, did they not hear? Yes, indeed, "their voice went forth to all the earth, and their sayings to the ends of the habitable world."
for as many things as were written before, for our instruction were written before, that through the endurance, and the exhortation of the Writings, we might have the hope.
And these words which I am commanding you today have been on your heart, and you have repeated them to your sons, and spoken of them in your sitting in your house, and in your walking in the way, and in your lying down, and in your rising up, and have bound them for a sign on your hand, and they have been for frontlets between your eyes, and you have written them on doorposts of your house and on your gates.
to know also the love of the Christ that is exceeding the knowledge, that you may be filled—to all the fullness of God;
for this [is] right and acceptable before God our Savior, who wills all men to be saved, and to come to the full knowledge of the truth;
