for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.(2 Peter 1:21)
Certainly the Lord God does nothing
Unless He reveals His secret plan
To His servants the prophets.(Amos 3:7)
So then you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God’s household, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the cornerstone,(Ephesians 2:19,20)
When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came on them and they began speaking with tongues and prophesying.(Acts 19:5,6)
Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and she will name Him Immanuel.(Isaiah 7:14)
Now all this took place so that what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet would be fulfilled: "Behold, the virgin willconceive and give birth to a Son, and they shall name HimImmanuel," which translated means, "God with us."(Matthew 1:22,23)
Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion!
Shout in triumph, daughter of Jerusalem!
Behold, your king is coming to you;
He is righteous and endowed with salvation,
Humble, and mounted on a donkey,
Even on a colt, the foal of a donkey.(Zechariah 9:9)
But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, but it is the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction,(Romans 3:21,22)
but examine everything; hold firmly to that which is good, abstain from every form of evil.(1 Thessalonians 5:21,22)
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.(1 John 4:1)
"Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.(Matthew 7:15)
If I have the gift of prophecy and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.(1 Corinthians 13:2)
