Profecia
For no prophecy ever came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they began speaking in tongues and prophesying.
All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken through the prophet:
"Behold, the virgin will conceive and give birth to a son,
and they will name him Immanuel"
(which means, "God with us").
But now the righteousness of God has been revealed apart from the law, attested by the Law and the Prophets, that is, the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all and upon all who believe; for there is no distinction.
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see if they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
You are from God, little children, and you have overcome them, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world.
but test everything; hold fast to what is good. Avoid every form of evil.
"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
"Therefore whatever you wish that others would do to you, do the same also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
If I have the gift of prophecy and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
So then you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone.
