Promessas

14 I will soon die, as everyone must. But deep in your hearts you know that the Lord has kept every promise he ever made to you. Not one of them has been broken.

9 *You know that the Lord your God is the only true God. So love him and obey his commands, and he will faithfully keep his agreement with you and your descendants for a thousand generations.

24 The one who chose you can be trusted, and he will do this.

23 We must hold tightly to the hope we say is ours. After all, we can trust the one who made the agreement with us.

4 God made great and marvelous promises, so his nature would become part of us. Then we could escape our evil desires and the corrupt influences of this world.

10 Don’t be afraid. I am with you.

Don’t tremble with fear.

I am your God.

I will make you strong,

as I protect you with my arm

and give you victories.

2 When you cross deep rivers,

I will be with you,

and you won’t drown.

When you walk through fire,

you won’t be burned

or scorched by the flames.

31 But those who trust the Lord

will find new strength.

They will be strong like eagles

soaring upward on wings;

they will walk and run

without getting tired.

11 I will bless you with a future filled with hope—a future of success, not of suffering.

16 God loved the people of this world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who has faith in him will have eternal life and never really die.

25 Jesus then said, "I am the one who raises the dead to life! Everyone who has faith in me will live, even if they die. 26 And everyone who lives because of faith in me will never really die. Do you believe this?"

20 Listen! I am standing and knocking at your door. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in and we will eat together.

5 *Everyone who wins the victory will wear white clothes. Their names will not be erased from the book of life,* and I will tell my Father and his angels that they are my followers.

15 Christ died to rescue those who had sinned and broken the old agreement. Now he brings his chosen ones a new agreement with its guarantee of God’s eternal blessings!

2 My dear friends, we are already God’s children, though what we will be hasn’t yet been seen. But we do know when Christ returns, we will be like him, because we will see him as he truly is. 3 This hope makes us keep ourselves holy, just as Christ* is holy.

11 I promise every living creature that the earth and those living on it will never again be destroyed by a flood.

12,13 The rainbow that I have put in the sky will be my sign to you and to every living creature on earth. It will remind you that I will keep this promise forever.

6 Now Christ has been appointed to serve as a priest in a much better way, and he has given us much assurance of a better agreement.

10 But God shows undeserved kindness to everyone. That’s why he appointed Christ Jesus to choose you to share in his eternal glory. You will suffer for a while, but God will make you complete, steady, strong, and firm.

9 The Lord isn’t slow about keeping his promises, as some people think he is. In fact, God is patient, because he wants everyone to turn from sin and no one to be lost.

1 My friends, God has made us these promises. So we should stay away from everything that keeps our bodies and spirits from being clean. We should honor God and try to be completely like him.

22 But the Scriptures say that sin controls everyone, so that God’s promises will be for anyone who has faith in Jesus Christ.

Ask, Search, Knock

7 *Ask, and you will receive. Search, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened for you.

8,9 As the saying goes,

"Exercise is good

for your body,

but religion helps you

in every way.

It promises life

now and forever."

These words are worthwhile and should not be forgotten.
