Raiva
A raiva é uma emoção humana que a Bíblia trata com seriedade. Irar-se não é pecado em si, mas a ira descontrolada destrói relacionamentos e abre porta para o mal.
Controlar a ira
A Bíblia nos exorta a ser tardios para irar-se. A resposta branda desvia o furor, e o que se controla é mais forte que um guerreiro.
So then, my beloved brothers, everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger.
Irar-se sem pecar
Paulo ensina: irai-vos, mas não pequeis. Não deixe o sol se pôr sobre a vossa ira, para não dar lugar ao diabo.
Do not sin in your anger. Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give any opportunity to the devil.
Amor e perdão acima da raiva
O amor cobre multidão de pecados. A Bíblia nos chama a não alimentar rancor, mas a perdoar e amar, vencendo a raiva com compaixão.
Love is patient and kind. Love does not envy or boast. It is not puffed up or rude. It does not seek its own way, it is not irritable, and it keeps no record of wrongs.
He also said, "It is what comes out of a person that defiles a person. For from within, from the hearts of men, come evil thoughts, adultery, fornication, murder, theft, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, and foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a person."
Brothers, make sure that none of you has an evil heart of unbelief that turns away from the living God.
