Recompensa
Deus recompensa a fé
No one can please God without faith, for whoever comes to God must have faith that God exists and rewards those who seek him.
Happy are those who remain faithful under trials, because when they succeed in passing such a test, they will receive as their reward the life which God has promised to those who love him.
But if any of you lack wisdom, you should pray to God, who will give it to you; because God gives generously and graciously to all.
There you will look for the Lord your God, and if you search for him with all your heart, you will find him.
"Ask, and you will receive; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.
For this reason I tell you: When you pray and ask for something, believe that you have received it, and you will be given whatever you ask for.
O servo bom e fiel será honrado.
‘Well done, you good and faithful servant!’ said his master. ‘You have been faithful in managing small amounts, so I will put you in charge of large amounts. Come on in and share my happiness!’
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as though you were working for the Lord and not for people. Remember that the Lord will give you as a reward what he has kept for his people. For Christ is the real Master you serve.
So then, my dear friends, stand firm and steady. Keep busy always in your work for the Lord, since you know that nothing you do in the Lord’s service is ever useless.
So let us not become tired of doing good; for if we do not give up, the time will come when we will reap the harvest.
But many who now are first will be last, and many who now are last will be first.
For God will reward each of us according to what we have done.
Give to others, and God will give to you. Indeed, you will receive a full measure, a generous helping, poured into your hands—all that you can hold. The measure you use for others is the one that God will use for you."
And if you do good only to those who do good to you, why should you receive a blessing? Even sinners do that!
Heal the sick, bring the dead back to life, heal those who suffer from dreaded skin diseases, and drive out demons. You have received without paying, so give without being paid.
And God is able to give you more than you need, so that you will always have all you need for yourselves and more than enough for every good cause.
Wicked people do not really gain anything, but if you do what is right, you are certain to be rewarded.
Obey the Lord, be humble, and you will get riches, honor, and a long life.
Never let go of loyalty and faithfulness. Tie them around your neck; write them on your heart. If you do this, both God and people will be pleased with you.
Do you want to meet an important person? Take a gift and it will be easy.
However, as the scripture says,
"What no one ever saw or heard,
what no one ever thought could happen,
is the very thing God prepared for those who love him."
I ask that your minds may be opened to see his light, so that you will know what is the hope to which he has called you, how rich are the wonderful blessings he promises his people,
God’s divine power has given us everything we need to live a truly religious life through our knowledge of the one who called us to share in his own glory and goodness.
This hope does not disappoint us, for God has poured out his love into our hearts by means of the Holy Spirit, who is God’s gift to us.
Certainly not God, who did not even keep back his own Son, but offered him for us all! He gave us his Son—will he not also freely give us all things?
but those who drink the water that I will give them will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give them will become in them a spring which will provide them with life-giving water and give them eternal life."
Until now you have not asked for anything in my name; ask and you will receive, so that your happiness may be complete.
But I am telling you the truth: it is better for you that I go away, because if I do not go, the Helper will not come to you. But if I do go away, then I will send him to you.
So I run straight toward the goal in order to win the prize, which is God’s call through Christ Jesus to the life above.
Buscar, pedir, perseverar
Jesus ensinou: pedi e recebereis, buscai e achareis.
"Happy are those whose greatest desire is to do what God requires;
God will satisfy them fully!
"So when you give something to a needy person, do not make a big show of it, as the hypocrites do in the houses of worship and on the streets. They do it so that people will praise them. I assure you, they have already been paid in full.
But when you pray, go to your room, close the door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what you do in private, will reward you.
Make it your aim to do what is right, not what is evil, so that you may live. Then the Lord God Almighty really will be with you, as you claim he is.
I lift up my hands to you in prayer;
like dry ground my soul is thirsty for you.
Contentamento e eternidade
So I realized that all we can do is be happy and do the best we can while we are still alive. All of us should eat and drink and enjoy what we have worked for. It is God’s gift.
Here is what I have found out: the best thing we can do is eat and drink and enjoy what we have worked for during the short life that God has given us; this is our fate.
If God gives us wealth and property and lets us enjoy them, we should be grateful and enjoy what we have worked for. It is a gift from God.
Obey them all, so that everything will go well with you and so that you will continue to live in the land that you are going to occupy.
For this reason we never become discouraged. Even though our physical being is gradually decaying, yet our spiritual being is renewed day after day.
Humble yourselves, then, under God’s mighty hand, so that he will lift you up in his own good time.
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.
For sin pays its wage—death; but God’s free gift is eternal life in union with Christ Jesus our Lord.
But as for you, Christ has poured out his Spirit on you. As long as his Spirit remains in you, you do not need anyone to teach you. For his Spirit teaches you about everything, and what he teaches is true, not false. Obey the Spirit’s teaching, then, and remain in union with Christ.
We are witnesses to these things—we and the Holy Spirit, who is God’s gift to those who obey him."
The Lord said to Moses, "Come up the mountain to me, and while you are here, I will give you two stone tablets which contain all the laws that I have written for the instruction of the people."
