6 Now without faith it is impossible to please him, for the one who approaches God must believe that he exists and is a rewarder of those who seek him.

12 Blessed is the person* who endures testing, because when he* is approved he will receive the crown of life that he* has promised to those who love him.

5 Now if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask for it from God, who gives to all without reservation and not reproaching, and it will be given to him.

29 But from there you shall seek Yahweh your God and will find him, if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.*

The Sermon on the Mount: Ask, Seek, Knock

7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened for you.

24 For this reason I say to you, whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received it,* and it will be done for you.

21 His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful slave! You were faithful over a few things; I will put you in charge over many things. Enter into the joy of your master!’

23 Whatever you do, accomplish it from the soul, as to the Lord, and not to people, 24 because you* know that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. Serve* the Lord Christ.

58 So then, my dear brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, because you* know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

9 And let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap, if we* do not give up.

30 But many who are first will be last, and the last first.

6 who will reward each one according to his works:

38 Give, and it will be given to you, a good measure—pressed down, shaken, overflowing—they will pour out into your lap. For with the measure by which you measure out, it will be measured out to you in return."

33 And if* you do good to those who do good to you, what kind of credit is that to you? Even the sinners do the same!

8 Heal those who are sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, expel demons. Freely you have received; freely give.

8 And God is able to cause all grace to abound to you, so that in everything at all times, because you* have enough of everything, you may overflow in every good work.

18 The wicked earns* deceptive gain,*

but he who sows righteousness, a true reward.*

4 The reward of humility is the fear of Yahweh—

wealth and honor and life.

3 May loyal love* and truth not forsake you;

bind them around your neck,

write them upon your heart.

4 And you shall find favor and good sense*

in the eyes of God and humankind.

16 The gift of a person will open doors for him,

and before the great, it gives him access.

9 But just as it is written,

"Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard,

and have not entered into the heart of man,

all that* God has prepared for those who love him."*

18 (the eyes of your hearts having been enlightened), so that you may know what is the hope of his calling, what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance among the saints,

3 because his divine power has bestowed on us all things that are necessary for life and godliness, through the knowledge of the one who called us by his own glory and excellence of character,

5 and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

32 Indeed, he who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all, how will he not also, together with him, freely give us all things?

14 But whoever drinks of this water which I will give to him will never be thirsty for eternity, but the water which I will give to him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life."

24 Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.

7 But I tell you the truth, it is better for you that I go away. For if I do not go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.

14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

6 Blessed are the ones who hunger and thirst for righteousness,

because they will be satisfied.

2 Therefore whenever you practice charitable giving, do not sound a trumpet in front of you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, in order that they may be praised by people. Truly I say to you, they have received their reward in full!

6 But whenever you pray, enter into your inner room and shut your door and* pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

14 Seek good and not bad in order that you may live, and so Yahweh, the God of hosts, will be with you, as you have said.

6 I stretch out my hands to you;

my soul longs for you like a dry land. Selah

12 So I realized that there is nothing better* for them than to rejoice and enjoy themselves* during their lives. 13 And for anyone to eat and drink, that is, to enjoy the fruit of all his toil,* this also is a gift of God.

If You Have Wealth, Enjoy It as God Enables

18 Look! I have discovered what is good and fitting: to eat and to drink and to enjoy* all the fruit of the toil with which one toils under the sun during the number of the days of his life that God gives to him—for this is his lot.*

19 This indeed is a gift of God: everyone to whom God gives wealth and possessions, he also empowers him to enjoy them,* to accept his lot, and to rejoice in the fruit of his toil.

33 In exactly the path* that Yahweh your God has commanded, you must go, so that you may live and it will go well* for you and you may live long* in the land that you will take possession of."

16 Therefore we do not lose heart, but even if our outer person is being destroyed, yet our inner person is being renewed day after day.

6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, so that he may exalt you at the right time,

10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.

23 For the compensation due sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

27 And as for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you do not have need that anyone teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you reside* in him.

32 And we are witnesses of these things, and so is* the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him."

The Start of Forty Days and Nights on Mount Sinai

12 And Yahweh said to Moses, "Come up to me on the mountain, and be there, and I will give you the tablets of stone and the law and the commandments that I have written to instruct them."
